Daniella loved Nikki with all her heart, but the sister's obnoxiously large affection for Cai gave no point for her to linger at her home. Daniella instead busied herself on her violin in Jetta's store to escape the disturbing smooches and inappropriate giggles escaping the master bedroom. Jetta of course didn't mind the melodic tunes spilling from the wonderful wooden instrument; she danced around slowly, checking her shop's inventory for the first day.

"Ready to open!" Jetta skipped to the front door, flipping the sign to allow customers in.

And five hours passed.

Not a single customer.

The only sounds within the little pink boutique were the sorrow filled tunes of Daniella's violin. Jetta sighed, slouching as she leaned over her counter. "This is so boring!" she wailed.

~Episode 2: Withering Dreams~

*Jetta's POV*

"I'm going to go check out some of the other stores," Daniella waved from the door, "be back soon!" I didn't blame her for bailing; watching over a shop without any willing customers even entering filled the atmosphere with boredom. If Cai were there, he'd probably call it a slow day, but how could he if he'd never really worked a full day?

I sighed, resting my head on the front counter. I wailed, "I'm bored!"

"That's a shocker..."

My head shot up from the counter, eyes darting straight at the door. There stood Marceline, a girl I had not seen in forever. Nervously, my smile formed awkwardly on my face.

"You usually seem to be having quite an occupied time," she said, stepping inside.

I nodded slowly. "Yeah... it's just a, um, slow day..."

"But it's your first day?"

My giggles hardly hid my fear.

"Don't be scared," Marci frowned, "that's why I'm here; I want to apologize for our last encounter..." Last I had seen the girl, she attempted to kill me because of my whirling emotions and cries. The event started out of the blue and ended abruptly: as fast as it had begun. But I had to thank her; she taught me the value of my life faster than anyone.

"It's fine," I smiled, this time warmly. Marci giggled girlishly, different than her usual personality.

"We should hang out sometime?"

I nodded. Marci's grin sent my stomach at ease. She pulled up a menu and sent me a friend request which I quickly accepted. She waved farewell and left me alone in my store.

Alone.

For the rest of the day.

The whole day.

Without a single customer...

^Luke's POV^

"LUKE! WHY THE HELL ARE YOUR MAGAZINES IN THE BATHROOM?!" Nikki fumed, I let out a sigh and placed the magazine I was reading under the pillow of the living room couch. I watched as she held the magazine with the tips of her fingers, throwing it in my direction.

"That's very explicit content! Those graphic images. Those large scans. Scary edited breasts of steel! You can ruin someone's innocence!!" Nikki cried, covering her red orbs. I rolled my eyes and picked up the magazine. No one here is innocent in the first place. "Where do you even get those magazines?" Nikki placed her hands on her hips, the blush very apparent on her face.
