Switch-Up

One Week Later

Jennifer's POV

I'm laying here completely naked and breathing hard beside Leah. Leah looks at me and grins. I lean over and kiss her softly. "You're amazing." I giggle. She laughs and rubs her hand over my stomach. "What was that? 4?" She asks me. "Try 5." I bite my lip and kiss her again.

"Ugh- what time is it?" She yawns and reaches for her phone. "Holy shit, Jen. It's 1:00am!!" She laughs. I shrug my shoulders and take her phone from her hands and kiss her multiple times, "so what?" I whisper. She smiles and kisses me again and we start to make out again. This goes on for a few minutes and then I roll away from her and slide off of the bed. I put on a shirt and panties and then throw Leah the same thing. She takes them and puts them on as well and I slide back underneath the blanket.

I lay my head on her boobs and close my eyes, "when are we gonna tell my family... our friends...?" I whisper. "Whenever you want baby..." "I wanna tell them. Then I wanna run off to Greece and do the damn thing." I giggle. "Then let's do it."

Leah wakes me up and convinces me to actually get out of bed... I put on some black leggings and a shirt that covers about half of my ass... I don't bother putting make-up on or even trying to make my hair look decent today. Leah drags me out of the house and she drives us to Starbucks. She goes inside to get the coffee and then comes right back.

"Here you are..." She says and hands it to me. I smile and take it from her. "Thank you mama." I say with a warm smile. She nods her head and then drives to our old condo which now belongs to Gabriella. We go upstairs and I use my key to open the door. Leah and I quietly sneak upstairs and we both jump on the bed where Gabriella is still sound asleep.

"OH MY GOD!" She yells. Leah and I both laugh and Gabriella sticks her middle finger up at me and pushes me off of the bed, "I hate you. Both of you." She groans and rubs her eyes. "You love us." I tease her. She sits up and grabs her phone and Leah and I sit in front of her just staring at her. "I don't mean to drop a bombshell or anything but I gotta tell you something...." I say and giggle a little. "Oh shit what?" She asks. Leah laughs and gives me a look.

I smile and I show her my hand and she just looks at me for a second... "So? It's a hand?" She pauses and then grabs my hand. "NO WAY. SHUT THE FXCK UP!" She yells and touches the ring that is sitting on my finger. I laugh and smile at her and she pulls me down to her and hugs me tightly. "I can't believe this!!!!!" She seems super excited... I'm glad. "When did this--?" She asks and looks at Leah. "Thanksgiving." Leah says and pulls me closer to her. I gladly lay beside Leah and she puts her hand on my thigh, "we had a pretty eventful trip to say the least." Leah teases my sister. I give Leah a look, letting her know not to mention what happened between myself, Courtney, and Leah. "Looks like it. I'm so happy for you guys though!" Gabriella smiles. I grin and Leah kisses me deeply. "I'm happy too." I whisper, looking at Leah when I say it. "Okay- out of my bed. I hate both of you... And I hate how perfect your relationship is." My sister teases. We both laugh and Leah pecks my lips again. "We're going to tell mom... and Rodrigo." I say and stand up, Leah does too. "Have fun with that..." She says and hides beneath the comforter. "Bye lazy." I call as Leah and I leave the condo, hand-in-hand.

Leah and I talk to my mom and brother and we're all gonna meet up together for lunch... So Leah and I are heading to the restaurant now.

Once we arrive we sit down and I am a little anxious to see how my mom takes this... I'm not so much worried about Rodrigo but what my mom thinks does matter to me... Even though we aren't as close as we used to be I still value her opinion. I just want her to be happy for me... Because I know I'm happier than I have ever been.

Leah and I sit for about 15 minutes and then Rodrigo walks in, smacking his gum. I roll my eyes at him and he gives me a look. He hugs me, then Leah. "Spit it out." I demand. He laughs and does what I say. "You two look like you're up to something." He says and leans back, folding his arms across his chest. "You always think that." I say and hold Leah's hand. "I'm always right too..." He gives me a look. I shake my head and grab my drink. Well... I wanted to tell them at the same time but Mr. Observant (aka my brother) sees my ring.

"You're marrying her." He says. I look at him and try not to smile. "Huh?" "I see your ring." He says and points to it. I laugh and look at Leah. "Now you have to act all surprised when I tell you and mom." I say and put the wine glass to my lips. "Buy me lunch and it's a deal." He says. "Fxck off." I tease him. "Damn..." He groans. "You guys are really engaged?" He asks. Leah nods her head and puts my hand up to her mouth and kisses it. "We are." She smiles. "Well congratulations I guess..." He laughs. We smile and nod our heads.

"How do you think this is gonna go?" I ask. "With mom? Eh- i think she'll be fine. Maybe a little shocked because I know she thought this was just a phase for you." He laughs and plays on his phone. "Clearly it's not a phase." I laugh. "I hope it's not a damn phase...." Leah jokes. We all laugh and then I spot my mom. She walks over and hugs Rodrigo and then myself, kissing our cheeks several times as well. "Am I late?" She asks. "It's fine." I say and smile at her. "Good, good. How are you, Jen?" She asks me. "I'm great. Happy." I respond. I feel Leah's hand squeeze my thigh and I know she's just as nervous as I am about this.

"I wanna go on ahead and tell you two the reason that we brought you here before we start eating..." I say and pause. "Okay...." My mother pauses and looks at me funny. "At lease we know she's not pregnant... Can't get pregnant fxcking another girl..." Rodrigo tries to be funny but it really makes me want to round house kick him in the head. I kick him under the table and he shuts up but my mom just stares at us in awe. "Anyways--" I say and clear my throat.

"I wanted to tell both of you... But especially you mom- that Leah and I are engaged." I say. It gets quiet and now is when I need Rodrigo to say something to break the silence. My heart is pounding and my palms are sweating. "That's great!" Rodrigo says, doing a pretty awesome job at pretending he just got this news. I smile and then look at my mom. I reach across the table and grab her hand, "you okay?" I whisper. She nods her head and smiles, "as long as you are happy then I'm happy." She tells me. I can tell that she means that which makes me feel so much better about the situation. "Thank you." I say and stand up. I walk over and hug her tightly. "I love you." I whisper to her. "I love you too sweetie." She says back to me. I take my seat beside Leah again and Rodrigo orders wine for all of us and we order our food as well.

My mom smiles and looks directly at Leah. "Welcome to the family, Leah."
