Breaking The Rules

Wendy's POV

It was dark ,and I was numb. It was cold and quiet ,even my own thoughts could barely be heard from the loud silence. The last thing I remember was Rumpelstiltskin in front of me ,and my scream ringing in my ears as he pulled out the heart of Andrew ,a lost boy who was going to get a metal for winning the rock climbing competition five times in a row. I watched the color drain out of him as he was telling me about his achievement.

I could feel my toes move ,but my eyelids were to heavy to open. My mind became a bit clear ,and I could move my body. Under my fingers I could feel crunchy fragile leaves and the cold hard dirt ground.  Light began to creep into my eyes and I opened them and sat up. Trees surrounded me and the world was spinning. 

I presses my fingers against my temples and closed my eyes to stop the spinning and it worked. I opened my eyes and saw Rumple standing in front of me. I gasped in surprise. I backed up until my back was up against a tree. "Where am I?" I spat not taking my eyes off of the imp.

"Still on Neverland dearie." He said walking closer to me. "What did you do to me?" I asked as a shooting pain makes its way to my head. "A little sleeping spell ,you're fine." He said over exaggerating the words.

"Why?" I ask standing up in a defensive stance. He disappeared and I could hear him laughing ,but he was no where in sight. I spin around until I see his hideous face and stop. I wonder if he was always like this. "I had to...speed things up." He says with an evil grin.

"For what?" I ask and gulp. He sighs and places a finger on his dry lips. "You see ,your special Wendy ,and so is your power ,something I've never seen before." He pauses and waits for my reaction. I already knew this.

"Go on." I say through clenched teeth. "Yes well ,something else that is special ,is what's inside of you ,literally." He says with a mocking giggle ,making it obvious he knows something I don't.

"What are you talking about!" I snap out of annoyance and impatience for his games. He giggles a little bit more. "Your blood and heart." He says placing his hand on my chest where my heart is. I slap his hand away.

"What?"

"You see ,your blood can be used for many spells. Many dark...and lights spells. And your heart...well lets just say its the most powerful of all. Your heart can bring back the dead ,you can also give your powers to someone with your heart. You are the one and only...shield. No one can feel how much power you really have ,that's how Pan never knew. And that stupid shadow of yours would never know. Funny how the saviour of Neverland just so happened to be the most powerful being to ever live. What a shame you don't know how to use any of that power." Rumple jumps in excitement. How does he even know about any of this? About me?

It all makes sense now. He was using me ,and what ever this price was going to be ,it wasn't going to be good. How stupid could I be.

"Unfortunately ,the only way you can bring someone back ,or give them your powers ,is if you willingly give it to them ,and no one can take your heart if your not willing to give it to them. Oh and...you would die." He said explaining it as if I should have known.
