As promised, this is the story of Theodora Welss, daughter of Thanatos. (I will have another Thanatos one with the y/n later.)
When I was younger, in the 1930s, I had a friend. One friend. I was very much a loner and was forced into making friends.
I was made fun of for being a loner and for the way I acted in every day life. I was the out cast.
There was a time when I was young, my friend had invited me to play with him and his sister. His sister was loving and a great friend to have by your side. That was the day thy were sent away and I was left on my own in the world surrounded by people who didn't like me.
My mother had abandoned me when I was little and I had to live alone on the streets of Italy.
Months later, I was bullied by a mob of children we ended up taking my life.
I was sent to the underworld to find my way with the dead.
Hades himself came to interrogate me. He was rude and upset. Thank heavens for his wife Persephone, who was killed in bed enough to get Hades to be a bit kinder.
Later I was sent to Hades servant, Thanatos. He wasn't the kindest person, but I don't believe anyone under Hades rule would be completely happy.
Both Hades and Thanatos agreed to let me back to the mortal world. I was sent up and that is where I was left. Alone again, this time in streets of an unknown city.
. . .
Present
My black eyes darkens at the shape in the sky. There was a huge ship flying in the sky! How much more distorted can this age get?
I walked up to the closest person on the paved black street of Manhattan. They scurried away as fast as they could away from me.
I pull my hooded coat closer around me. There was no snow in Italy and it was winter in Manhattan. Yet again, I was lost in the streets.
Let's get this straight. I'm almost sixteen, well more like 90, but I look sixteen, so I'm going with sixteen. Hades dumped me in the middle Of Manhattan when I was twelve and I"be been living in the streets for the entire time. I wasn't familiar to the tech in the 2000s and I had been so confused at the slang.
"Hey girl, what's up?" A street freak asked.
I gave the guy a death glare and continued walking down the frozen street. My black combat boots clicked against the cement.
"Hey, you! You didn't answer my question!" The guy yelled after me.
I could feel him walk up behind me. I don't like being followed, and I certainly don't like being called anything but my name.
"Go away," I say.
"Now why would I do that?" He asked.
"Because I said so,"
"Be nice little girl."
That was it. I whipped around and pushed him against the wall.
"Don't you ever talk to me like I'm some, some weakling!" I yelled at the boy.
There were some yelling behind me and I ran off.
I turned down an alley way and rested against the wall. I wasn't ready to get into more trouble than I already had been in.
Clicking filled my ears and I looked up. There were four people. A curly haired girl, a blond boy, a ginger haired boy and a raven haired boy.
"That's her," The ginger said.
"Hi, we're here to help," the curly haired girl says.
I scoffed, "That's why the last bunched said."
"We were sent by Hades."
"Now that's a first."
"Come on. We should get you to camp."
"I'm old enough to know not to trust you."
"Your what? Sixteen? You make your own choices." The blonde boy says.
I scoffed again, "Hades told you nothing. I've been living on these streets for four years, I have always made my own choices. Now if you are the rescue group he said he would send, you're late."
The blonde looked down at his feet, "We kind of got the message late."
"You got that right."
The raven haired boy glared at me, in which I returned the favour.
"Come on, let's get out of here," he snapped.
"I'm not going with you."
"Um, yes, yes you are."
"Excuse me? No. I'm really not, especially with some one with an attitude like that!"
"Hey! Guys stop!" The curly haired girl yelled, "You need to come with us, please."
"Why is this so important to you?"
"Because we were given this mission from Hades."
I turned away, "No, I'm not going. And if I was, what would be in it for me?"
They all exchanged glances, "Food?"
"That sounds more like a question than a answer."
The curly haired girl looked at me with gold eyes and cleared her throat, "Food."
I nodded, "And you promise my safety?"
"Yes."
I nodded, "Fine."
"You'll go?" The blonde boy asked.
"Yes."
"Come on then. Let's get out of here," The ginger haired boy said.
I followed behind them cautiously as we walked out of the dark alley way. Over head in the sky was the large ship that I had seen before.
"You came in that?" I asked.
"Yeah. Why?" The blonde asked.
"Nice hiding place." I scoffed.
"What do you mean?"
"Everyone can see it."
They all turned around, "They can?!"
"Well..." I started, "I'm not exactly sure, everyone that I tried to talked to scurried away like mice to a lion."
They nodded carefully.
We had walked quite a ways and were drawing closer to the ship. There was a rope ladder hanging from the large craft.
"Ladies first," the blonde said.
"Um. No thanks. I'm not up for people looking at my butt. You go ahead." I said.
The three boys scurried up the ladder and onto the ship, then the curly haired girl an lastly me. I pulled myself into the deck of the ship and onto a large platform.
"How many others are in here? Six?" I asked
"Umm... Yeah. How did you know that?"
"I don't know, I can just kind of tell."
I've been able to hear people's heart beets for years. That's why it's so hard to lie to me.
The raven haired boy disappeared in the ship somewhere leaving me with the other three.
"I'm Hazel." The curly haired girl said.
"I'm Grover." The ginger said.
"And I'm Jason." The blonde greeted.
"Theo. Short for Theodore." I introduced.
"Nice to meet yah Theo." A new voice called from off to the side.
Standing in a doorway, was an elvish boy with curly hair, "I'm Leo. Bad boy supreme."
I scoffed at the nickname, "That's nice."
"Annabeth! Percy!" He called.
Two teens around three years older than me ran into he room.
"Yeah!" The dark haired boy with sea green eyes said.
"Meet Theo."
"Nice to meet you, I'm Percy and this is my girlfriend Annabeth," he pointed to the blonde girl beside him.
"Hey! Where's Death Breath?" Annabeth asked.
"He kinda disappeared again." Hazel said.
"He need some friends that don't include the dead.
"Nico!!!!" Hazel yelled.
Pictures flashed in my mind. Nico had been the name of my best friend. Sadly, he would have died century's ago.
The boy tumbled into the room, "What?"
"This is Theo."
His face when the white as a sheet (if that was even possible. He was pail already), "Theo, what?"
"Welss, Theo Welss." I said.
His face got even paler than before, so pale that he could have been translucent, "Theodora?"
I snapped, grabbed a dagger and pointed to his throat, "How do you know my name?"
"Theo! It's Nico! Nico di' Angelo!" He said with his hands in the air.
My face softens, "Nico? But you... It's the... You should have died years ago!"
"So should have you."
I looked at him closer. His eyes were the same, but more dark and sad.
"Where's Bianca?"
Nico when the stiff, like I had hit a nerve, "Gone."
I looked down, "I'm sorry."
"It's not your fault," He said sending a glare towards Percy, who put his hands in the air.
Nico looked back at me, "We probably need to chat."
I scoffed, "You got that right."
...
Nico lead me onto a large deck on the ship where we sat on the hardwood ground.
"How did you survive?" I asked the raven hairdresser boy.
"Dad had this guy, Alecto, put me and... Bianca into the Lotus casino for a month." He sighed, "Turns out, that month wad seventy years. How about you?"
"I didn't."
His eyes went wide. "What?"
"I died. Hades took me to the underworld where I was integrated and introduced to Thanatos. Hades then told me that he would give me another chance and that he would send people to come and help me once I had gotten out of the underworld." I took a breath. "Never expected demigods though."
"I don't think anyone does."
I took a deep breath, "So... where are we going?"
"Camp Half Blood, that's where the rest of us are. Well actually, some of us are in a Roman camp, Camp Jupiter."
"Someone's way to into himself."
"What?"
"Jupiter? Seriously? Names a Camp after himself."
Nico let out a small laugh, "right."
"Hey, guys!" The elf boy called, "How yah going?"
"How are you going? What has English done to the universe?" I cried out in confusion.

Nico smiled softly and the elf laughed, "You really don't belong in this timeline."

I glared as Leo walked off.

"So..." Nico said, "Theodora Welss, Your gonna have fun."

Next day at Camp.

I looked up at the sky as the clouds pushed this way and that. The soft green grass felt nice compared to the hard planks of the Argo II. The blue sky was gorgeous compared to the darkness of the Underworld.

"Theo? What are you doing out here?" Nico's voice rang in my ears.

"Thinking." I replied looking into his brown eyes.

He kissed my cheek and smiled his rare smile, "I think I'm in love with you."

My eyes widened. "W- what?"

Nico shook his head, "I didn't mean to say that."

"No, no, Nico it's okay, I love you too."

I leaned up and kissed him, "Thank you for beeing there from me."
