Zoro X Reader

You were out on the deck watching Luffy, Usopp, and Chopper play tag. You leaned up against the railing and laughed when Luffy fell, pushing Usopp over with him as he tried to run from Chopper.

It was relaxing and calm but of course something bad has to happen so you always kept your guard up. Zoro walked up and sat beside you. He wrapped an arm around your waist and pulled you onto his lap. You were startled by the sudden action but soon recovered and relaxed again.

Everything was going fine until you heard a loud bang and the ship shook wildly. Zoro held onto you tightly as the ship shook and slowly released you so you both could stand when the ship calmed down. "What was that!?" He yelled/asked someone on the crew. "It's Smoker!" You heard Usopp yell as he began flailing his arms. Chopper smacked him in the face and told him to calm down. He reluctantly pouted his lip and rubbed his head muttering a small 'sorry'.

Everyone got into their fighting stance as Usopp set the cannon. "We're back Straw Hat!" You heard the rusty voice of Smoker as you could see all the smoke coming from his cigars. Everyone glared in the direction of the other ship and Luffy was the first one to take action. "Gomu Gomu pistol!" He yelled as he landed a punch in Smokers face. The ships weren't so far apart now so you and the rest of the crew jumped on the other ship.

Your claws were out and ready for blood as you grinned evilly at everyone who surrounded you. The first guy attacked and you grabbed the blade with your hand making blood leak and drip onto the ground. You kicked the guy and he fell back leaving the sword in your grasp. You didn't need it so you dropped the blade and charged for someone who looked fairly strong but weak. He swung at you with his sword and you easily dodged it then dragged your claws on his throat, leaving 4 deep, long gashes as he fell to his knees on the floor grasping at his throat. You finally kicked him in the face and he fell backwards taking deep breaths but they soon faded away.

You looked back at everyone else evilly and they all had a look of terror on their face, but they still had determination so they charged at you all at once. You dodged some, cut some with you claws and eventually they were lying on the floor either breathing their last breath or already dead. You looked around and saw Zoro cut his sword deeply in a guys chest then rip it out.

Luffy was battling Smoker but Smoker got Luffy down for a while. He looked towards the rest of you and saw you. "Get the girl with the cat features." He commanded his crew with a villainess smirk. 'Dammit why is it always me?" You thought to yourself as you took defense once again and began killing off the crew members.

Nami came up beside you and helped you fight them off and the rest of your crew members helped from the outside of the crowd. You felt a big hand on your arm and throw you against a wall roughly. You weakly opened your eyes and saw Smoker grinning at you evilly. "(Y/n)!" You heard Zoro say worriedly.

You looked in his direction and smiled nodding your head saying you were fine. You looked back up to Smoker and glared. "Why do you want me?" You asked. "We just need more women on this crew." He stated as he began reaching out to you. You slapped his hand away, leaving a few claw marks and scowled at him. "What kind of woman do you think I am?" You asked harshly. He glared at you for hitting his hand and his fist collided with your cheek as you faced the direction his fist made you look in. You slowly turned back to him weakly standing up. "I've had about enough of all the shit everyone's putting me through." You said getting more angrier by the second. He only smirked at you mockingly. "Oh really?" He asked. "Yes really." You hissed. You ran at him and had your claws out ready to strike and felt them go deep within his stomach. Blood spilled out from his abdomen but he still stood, but he stood weakly.

   He held his stomach in pain as he grunted while he walked closer to you. You were ready to attack again but his eyes widened. You were confused so you looked down and saw a sword through his chest. You knew who it was by the blade. Zoro. The sword retreated and Smoker fell to his knees.

The ship was abandoned know except for the dead bodies and the Straw Hats. You all went back to the ship and cleaned up, then ate dinner.

You sat on the deck watching the waves gently sway as the ship moved on. Tears brimmed your eyes as you thought about everything that's happened. Your ears twitched as you heard footsteps approaching you. You looked up and saw Zoro. His facial expression softened when he saw the tears in your eyes and sat down beside you, pulling you close.

Your face was buried in his chest as you began to sob. "Why does everyone want me? If I didn't do anything to them...then what's so special about me?" You asked him in between sobs. He squeezed you tighter trying his best to comfort you.

"(Y/n). I don't know why everyone wants you but, I do know that I will protect you whenever you need me to." He said. Your sobs slowly calmed down and you looked up at him smiling. He smiled back wiping a tear from your face. He leaned down and you met him in a short but sweet kiss.

You and Zoro sat there for a while watching the sunset as it got darker. You stood up and helped him up to. "Goodnight Zoro." "Goodnight (y/n)." He replied as you both went your separate ways.
