Birchstar was with his mate. "So, you will choose of who to tell AshClan of the gathering?" He asked his mate. It had been a while since a traditional gathering. With the tragedy of Moonpaw's death, there was happiness out of it all. Gorseclaw was away from their Clan to not cause any more trouble.
"Yup." Whiteshimmer mewed. Windpaw and Sedgepaw were playing beside them. "Can we go to the gathering mama?" Windpaw asked her.
"Of course, you two are apprentices after all." Whiteshimmer mewed.
"Okay." Birchstar mewed.
"Right. So I'll get Dawnreed, Duskfur, Lostbird, Tallclaw, Windpaw, Sedgepaw, Aleix and Ryepaw, and Rosetail and Petalpaw for us to tell them." Whiteshimmer mewed to Birchstar.
Feralstorm got to his paws and shook out his pelt. "So, Lizardstep, Larkstep, Blue Tail, Leafpelt, Hazelheart, Ashfire, Heatherstorm, Ravenwing and Duststripe, they can come, can't they?" he meowed.
Onestar dipped his head. "Of course." He mewed to Feralstorm.
Feralstorm nodded and turned to find the cats he'd named.
"We are ready." Duststripe chirped with a smile.
"Great." Feralstorm purred with a nod. "Makes my job a lot easier."
"I'm sure it does." Blue Tail mewed in amusement.
"Then we can leave?" he meowed turning to face Onestar. "If Birchstar is ready."
Whiteshimmer had the cats by her side along with one or two apprentices. "Alright everyone lets move."
The patrol's padded from the camp and towards the gathering area.
The AshClan cats arrived not but a moment later. The leader Lion, his deputy Crimson, and some other cats. "Ah, greetings Lion, Crimson." Feralstorm meowed politely dipping his head.
"Feralstorm." Lion mewed bowing his head as well.
Crimson just flicked his tail as a hello. Birchstar flicked his tail. "Shall we begin?"
"Lets." Lion mewed.
The Clan cats gathered around the leaders and gazed up as the Gathering started.
Ravenwing looked at Larkstep who was shifting uncomfortably, glaring at Leafpelt who had come with them.
"We've had a good hunting season and our Clan is well," Lion meowed. "Skyfoot's kits are growing stronger everyday." he meowed dipping his head to the other leaders.
Leafpelt looked around but did not see her. But he tried to stop himself from smiling with joy. Larkstep gave a growl under her breath.
Birchstar stepped forwards. "I'm warmed to see that your Clan is growing and that your kits are healthy." he purred. "We've also had a good hunting seasons and our medicine cat's are preparing for newleaf."
Onestar stepped up last. "WolfClan brings good news," The leader meowed. "Bluejay has given birth to two healthy kits." He finished.
The other two leaders smiled calmly and made comments. Larkstep looked at Leafpelt. Something such as this shouldn't go unnoticed. Especially if he was the deputy's son. She didn't care at this point. "Wait! There's something I need to say!" Larkstep yowled. All of the clan cats stared at her.
Her brother gasped. "What are you doing?! Warriors don't speak at gatherings Larkstep!.."
She jerked it off. "This one can. And she will Ravenwing." She sneered. "Larkstep! If you have anything to say, say it to me, not here!" Onestar yowled. "So stay silent, and you can either talk it with me when the gathering is over, or tomorrow." He finished looking back to the clan from the stone at the front of the base of three trees.
"No!" The gray tabby she-cat hissed.
All of the cats gasped to one another.
"Did she really do that?" An AshClan cat asked.
"Is that even allowed?"
"Why is she doing this?" Ravenwing asked his mate, Ivyleaf. His eyes widened in shock and realization. She was going to tell them! Ravenwing felt as if a thorn hit his heart. They agreed to keep it. "Why is she telling WolfClan, ViperClan, and AshClan?" Hazelheart muttered to her brother.
Lion cast a hard glance at Onestar. "Can you control your warrior?" he asked, there was a polite tone but he was obviously surprised by the warrior. "Larkstep that is enough!" Onestar hissed angrily at the she-cat. Cats from the other Clans grumbled in agreement.
"I have something I wish to speak! Something that needs to be told!" The gray and black stripped tabby declared with the stomp of a paw.
Birchstar, having had enough, turned to Onestar. "If what she wishes to speak, is of dire importance, I wish to hear."
"Me too." Feralstorm meowed to his leader.
"What is of such importance I wonder.." Whiteshimmer grumbled to Crimson.
"Who knows?" he hissed. "We'll find out."
The ginger and white WolfClan leader sighed giving up. "Larkstep, say what you must." He ordered in a serious tone.
Warriors watched with wide questioning gazes as they waited for her reply.
The blue eyed warrior dipped her head respectfully. "You think Leafpelt was a good warrior of WolfClan. But everything he's ever said or done is a lie! He hasn't only been seen near the AshClan boarder, but with Skyfoot!" She declared with a shriek.
Crimson bristled. "That's a load of foxdung!" he spat. "My daughter is loyal to AshClan!"
"Ask Skyfoot yourself if you must!" Larkstep hissed at him.
"You dare insult my daughter?!" Snarled a gray pelted she-cat by the name of Thorn.
"I'd never question my daughter!" Crimson growled lashing his tail.
"Larkstep, you dare make such accusations towards my son! He is loyal to WolfClan!" Feralstorm bristled outraged by the warrior's words. Leafpelt shifted uncomfortably from where he sat. Hazelheart's gaze shifted to him, guilt in her eyes for him. She saw him step up. "Leafpelt...?"
"What nonsense!" Crimson growled. "I know that Skyfoot is loyal, and why wouldn't Leafpelt be?"
Feralstorm stared at his son had stepped up. "Leafpelt?"
"Forgive me father.." The light tan and white warrior mewed.
"Skyfoot's three kits of your clan," Leafpelt mewed looking at the AshClan cats. "Are mine.." He confessed.
