"Breathe in and out, breathe in and out" I repeated to myself to try to shake the nervous feelings. In my mirror's reflection was my shoulders moving up and down rapidly as I try to calm down. When my heartbeat has gone back to my resting position, I straighten my uniform and pulled my cheeks to try and add some colour into my face. I barely got any sleep last night because all sorts of thoughts appear in my head about my first day. I look at myself in the mirror thinking I might look presentable but it appears that this isn't the case. I sighed loudly. Why does my hair hate me? I grabbed my grandmothers hair clips and put my hair into place. She always had clips in her pockets which she decorated with her favourite flower a rose with pink petals which symbolised her gentle nature. When she died of old age, I kept her clips as keepsake. As soon as the clips made contact with my hair all my thoughts spilled out. "I wonder what it is like being a recruit here. How should I act? What are the people like here? Will they like me?" The word echoed around the room.
Knock! Knock! The echoed stopped and I took a large breathe. Suddenly I heard a voice from the other side of the door. "Hello is (L/N) in there."
" Yeah it's open" I cheerfully replied. Whilst the door was slowly opening I practiced a nice smile in the mirror for a few seconds. A head poked out from the door, he had pure green eyes that reminded me of lucky three leaf clovers and beautiful glistening brunette hair. He looked pretty young maybe a year or two years older than me.
" Hey I'm Eren Jagear and you're the new girl everyone is talking about" he said happily. I think he could see I was slightly nervous.
"Please tell me it's good things" I replied nervously.
" They told me that I had to collect a pretty girl to be briefed by the miserable captain" he cheekly commented smiling.
He grabbed my hand which I replied with a small squirm. "Come on lets get going I don't want to have extra cleaning duty" he says whilst he drags me with his back facing me which I'm so glad about because my whole face is gone red.
"You can let go!" I exclaimed
"Maybe I don't want to!" he wittily replies.
