Tears of anger stung in my eyes. A shock of purple slipped out of my finger. It Electrocuted the machine. Next thing I know the lights flicker and burn out. A power outage. Great. Luckily the emergency generators powered the intercom. "Students, we seemed to blow a fuse, until we get this fixed classes are canceled and you all may hang out around the school till further notice." The voice of principal celestia stated over the intercom system.

I decided to change out of my crystal prep uniform into my new skirt outfit set. You know, to fit in. My parents are wealthy astronomers so they always had time to get me new science supplies. When I was done changing, a knock sounded at my door. I opened the door to see sunset shimmer. I quickly plastered a fake smile across my face. "Hey twilight. Like your new look. Did you get the present I left you?" She asked cheerfully. "Uh, yes! Why?" I asked slowly. "I wanted to answer questions you might have. " "Um what is dark magic exactly?" I asked cautiously as sunset's face went surprised. "It's a magic fueled by negative feelings like jealousy or hate or anger." She said. "I prefer not to talk about it." "So are we gonna have lunch? I'm starving!" I said quickly, changing the subject. "Oh follow me to the cafeteria." Sunset gestured for me to follow. "Don't worry spike I will be back." I whispered as I shut the door behind me. We walked through the dimly lit halls past classrooms. I probably shouldn't have asked. I felt so nervous and frustrated. A spark of purple flew from my clenched fist. Not again! it flew down the hall and landed in an empty science classroom. Good No one saw. Me and sunset went to the lunchroom. I was starving! After getting my food, I followed sunset shimmer as we navigated through the noisy crowded lunch room to a table with her friends. I luckily learned the names fast, and we became instant friends. I felt like i finally belonged. But what goes up must come down. A voice rang out in my head. "They just pity you twilight. Your still were a member of their rivals, your an outsider." "No, I'm not" I whispered. "Yes you are. Just to scared to face the truth." I looked around at the girls who were talking to each other but me. Like I was invisible. I wanted to be noticed for once. But I wasn't. "Use dark magic to be at the top. You can be powerfull." "No." I muttered to myself. But the question lingered over me like a fog. Was I an outsider? Before I could answer my question, I heard a faint Roar from another room. I looked to see if the girls were looking. Luckily, everyone's chatter covered up the noise. I slipped away to see what it was about. After following the noise I came to a science wing. In the room I couldn't believe my eyes! There was a sparking purple portal out it, and a giant plant monster thing was trashing the classroom!
