Chapter seventeen

Austin's POV

I knew Megan had no idea what I was doing because when I pulled her on to the stage instead of outside she looked even more confused. I tapped the mic to get everyone's attention than spoke into it.

"Hello guys....um I just want to make an anouncement tonight.....because this is a special night for me and soon....Megan's too." I said smiling at her and she scratched her head making me chuckle.

I turned to Megan and took her hands in mine smiling at her. "Megan I liked you since the first year of high school but I didn't want you to know because you were obsessed with Embry." I began saying swallowing when I paused the microphone near my mouth so everyone can hear me.

"You're very beautiful and you've grown into that....you treat people like dirt an expect to be a queen in return but it's not like that." I continued as Megan blushed more and glared at me. " Honey if you want to be a queen respect people and treat them good in return to be treated right back the same way....what you did for Drake tonight that was good because we've always known that he liked Rebecca since they was in eighth grade together until now." I announced and was hit with a sugar baby I chuckled into the mic. 

"Thank you Drake," I said and a few people laughed, I looked back to Megan. "You make me happy, even though you might be a bitch sometimes or a little snappy and you have an attitude alot an you hit me." I continued on.

"We get it!" Everyone said and I smiled taking Megan's left hand in mine and getting down on my knee.

"You make me more in love with you every day and I just realized that tonight. Megan Lorraine Moning.....Will you marry me?" I said straight forward and Megan slided her hand out of mine frowning. The room was quiet as we waited for Megan response, my smile slipped into a frown slowly and my shoulders dropped as Megan shook her head to the sides slightly.

"I do." Megan whispered into the mic and everyone cheered ,I gasped my heart beating fast again and my eyes tearing up as I sprang up hugging Megan and twirling her around as she laughed and smiled when I put the ring on her ring finger.

She kissed me hard and with so much love which I returned back and picked her up bridal style as sugar babies was thrown at us from Embry and the crew. We laughed and I carried her to the dance floor dancing in the middle of the floor as they played the wedding theme song and the homecoming/prom king and queen crowns was placed on our heads. Embry gave me his and I smiled at him an he hugged me congratulating us both.

Megan was so happy and we danced until we had to leave, than all of us rode to an ice cream palor where we celebrated. 

Tonight was the best moment of my life and I'd go to any college near Megan's since I'm playing football. Embry,Drake,Jack, and I all decided to play football and be on the same team together. That was our childhood dream and only a few more weeks left an it will happen, we'll be off to college an be close to our girlfriends.

Looking over at Megan as she laughed with the girls at the table while us guys were at the counter ordering sodas; I knew that Megan really was the best thing that happened to me.
