Annie's POV

My dad asked the class a question. "Why do children resemble their parents class?" No one answered him but I knew the answer i just didn't want to raise my hand. "Now class we are going over DNA from the beginning, which you should have learned in middle school but if you have forgotten we will run over it again, now will someone answer my question please?"

No one did. I sighed and raised my hand to get called on. "Yes Annie?"

I took a deep breath. "Children look like their parents, because most offspring seem to blend some of the characteristics of both parents." 

My dad smiled and winked at me than turned to the chalk board and began writing on it. "Very good Annie. Now It wasn't until 1865 an Augustinian monk named Johann Gregor Mendel found that single triats are determined by factors, later known as genes which are passed on by parents that is why we call him the father of genetics people because he first discovered how they work, remember that." 

My father went on explaining to the class as he finished writing the notes on the board and started on with the next set. "Johann Gregor Mendel also worked on the pea plant." There were a few snickers from some of the boys and my father turned to glare at them, making them shut up quickly than went back to explaining. "Like I was saying Johann Gregor Mendel worked on the pea plant and discovered the fundamental laws of inheritance. He arrived at a fact that genes come in pairs and are inherited as units, one from each parent. He also discovered dominant and recessive traits." 

My father looked at the clock just as the bell rung in time to let us out. "Okay class tonight I want you all to student for tomorrows quiz twenty questions not that hard see ya folks."

Megan was waiting for me by the door and I could almost make out her baby bump through her silk purple shirt. " Hey you." I said and poked her stomach gently making her cringe back and laugh, taking my hand in hers and walking us down the hall. "Hey, ugh your father is such a bore I swear if I hear any more of life science I will pass out."

I laughed because she was right he is a bore sometimes even to me. Julian stood by the cafeteria doors waiting for us. He kissed me on the lips just as Embry and Nicole passed by, I slapped his arm laughing loudly and walked into the cafeteria to head to our table having my packed lunch with me. Julian followed me, sitting beside me not eating. "Where's your lunch Julian?" I asked him looking at the empty space in front of him than back up to his face. "Not hungry." He replied and looked over the cafeteria than back to my face. 

"Observant much?" I asked sarcastically chewing on my pasta, he looked to my pasta up to my face and back before I could protect my food he had me in a laughing fit as he tickled me while trying to eat my pasta at the same time. "No Julian!" I whined batting his fork away from my half gone food. "I declare you to get me another pasta!" I exclaimed pointing my fork towards Julian's face. He slowly pushed my hand with the fork in it down and got up to go get in the short lunch line.

From a few feet away I heard Nicole laughing with Embry and I snorted ignoring them, feeling annoyed now as I sat alone while Megan sat with Austin at their own lunch table and by the looks of it she was trying to tell him that she was pregnant with his baby. I strained my neck to see over the passing by people and when my view was clear I saw Megan crying.

But with a smile on her face and Austin's arm wrapped around her trying to calm her down a smile on his face as well as he got on his knees and kissed her stomach. Hm. I wonder if that would be Julian and I someday. "What are you smiling at?" Nicole's voice came from behind me and I ignored her until she pulled my ponytail, hard. "I said what are you sm--"

My fist connected with her eye, making a thud sound and she swayed on her feet than dropped to the floor unconcious. Everybody stopped and looked, but I just sat right back down with a huge grin on my face when Julian arrived back at the table looked at Nicole and back to me. He lifted up my hand and kissed it. "Your hand okay?" He asked,sounding proud and worried.

"Never better, babe."

Drake's POV

Rebecca was so funny. I particulary laughed at every joke she came up with and she laughed along with him. "You know you have such a pretty laugh and smile." I told her taking her hands in mine. She blushed and nodded staying quiet. 

"No, hey talk to me." I murmured to her lifting her chin up with my index finger than lightly tapping her nose with the same finger making her laugh. "Okay, okay just don't do that again it's annoying." She said softly and smiled at me.

"So, you liked me all this time...since the first day of high school back in our freshman year?" I looked at her, my eyes staring deeply into her pretty hazel eyes.

she giggled. "So did you if I heard correctly."

"You did."

"Yes I did and still do like you...I was just too shy to tell you up front, because I was afraid you didn't like me the same way." She answered me, drawing intricate patterns on the palms of my hands as we sat in the hammock tied on two trees next to the soccer field.

"Now here we are together almost shy as hell and holding each others hands,while staring deeply into each other eyes, and thinking how did I get someone to like me this gorgeous looking." I exclaimed gently, leaning in close to Rebecca our lips just inches away.

"Drake, Can we take this slow...you're really my first boyfriend-- I mean um, crush that liked me back and you're my only crush since none of the boys in middle school liked me." She blurted out quickly and I nodded easing away.

"Sorry, sure we can take it slow Becca I want to take it slow too." I kissed her hand instead.

"Thank you." She said softly and kissed my cheeks.

I had to thank Megan for getting us together. She is perfect for me I just know it.

Me: Isn't that sweet? *eats twizzlers*

Drake: *Looks up from Rebecca to the weird person* "Who the cheeseballs are you?"

Me: Um...your....mother!!

Drake: e.e "My mom is not short."

Me: Uh...

Rebecca: "Who's she?"

Drake: *shrugs* " just some weird girl I think we should go now."

Rebecca and Drake leave and two other people walk by.

Me: BOO!!

Julian *fake screams*

Annie: *rolls my eyes and keeps walking* "Damn children the both of them."

Julian: :O "Wait up babe!!" *Tries to catch up with her*

Annie: "Later!!"

Julian: :(

Me: e_e *creeps in the bushes watching the students walk by while I eat a taco, noisly*

Embry: "Really?!! Do you have to eat that lo--"

Me: *throws taco at Embry's face before he finishes his sentence and walks off*

Embry: *feels a finger slide down my cheek and turns to Nicole as she tastes the dressing*

Nicole: "Mmm A thousand Island." :D

Embry: -_-
