Sometimes
I don't
Phrase things
So well
I stop
And chop
My lines
And well
I do
Digress
With yarns
I tell
Perhaps sometimes I should justPause
Sometimes-my-mind-it-moves-too-quick
My-lines-come-out-all-smooth-and-slick
I-mix-up-my-words-though-I-know-they-will-stick
But-don't-understand-the-causeSometimes my rhythm outweighs my rhyme
I love how our language can fall into time
And lingual beats I find so sublime
So I make sure each syllable countsSometimes when I write my rhyme holds the might
It just feels so right when the words sit so tight
It ignites my light oh so bright when they're right
But this only comes in small amountsSometimes it's a case of all the above
The rhythm and rhyming and timing's enough
To know for me it's poetry that I love
But then I haven't tried everything else
