Carl Grimes x Fem reader (Book 1)

Hey before I start I wanted to give a shout out to two people @Stephanniexox and @SKYLARLOVESDEREK they have been commenting on my story and it really helps so thanks to the both of you, now on with the story.

Reader POV

As we got to the table and sat down Rick was still snickering at us. 

"Dad... shut up." Carl warned again.

"No." Rick said acting like a 5 year old.

"Rick, I agree with Carl. Now eat your bacon." I said as if I was talking to a child.

"No." He said again as he laughed and continued laughing about me and Carl. Then I got an idea.

"I'll go get Jessie." I warned, but sadly for him Rick didn't think I was serious. "Carl, lets go get Jessie." I whispered to him and his face light up as he nodded. We both got up from the table, leaving the house and going down to Jessie's. I knocked on the door and waited for her to come since she was feeling like a mom since I could already trust her.

"Hey (Y/n)." Jessie said as she opened the door, then she saw Carl and she looked like she had a 'I knew it!!!' face. I rolled my (eye colour) eyes.

"My dad's teasing us." Carl said as he looked down to his shoes. I thought to myself, 'Don't ask why, please don't ask why.'

"Oh why." 

'Dammit.' I looked up and glared only making her smile more. "CarlandIkissedandhisdadsaw." I said in one word.

"Wait... what?" I sighed as I knew I had to say it slower.

"Carl and I kissed and his dad saw." I said still fast, but not too fast so she couldn't understand.

"Oh my gosh!" She squealed. Carl and I rolled our eyes and looked back to her. 

"Jessie." We warned at the same time.

"Oh fine..." She pouted as she followed us to my house and into the kitchen.

"Rick... Stop bugging (y/n) and Carl." she continued, "I don't really care if you bug Carl hes your son but not (y/n)." Jessie finished.

"Well thanks Jessie that helped." Carl whined. I laughed as he whined to Jessie and His dad.

"(Y/n) I never said I wouldn't bug you." Jessie said happily. My smile faded into a frown and now it was Carl's turn to laugh at me along with everyone else. I playfully pouted and soon Jessie left and we continued to eat out breakfast.

Later that day (still (y/n) pov)

Ever since I came here which I guess was only yesterday I have climbed up on a old building that was closed tightly between two sections of gates I constantly climbed up the floors until I ended up on the roof of the building. I sat and watched as some walkers found the gates, and I still cured my boredom as I shot them with my gun and the silencer that hid it from others finding their way. I continued to be tempted to leave, but Carl clouded my thoughts.' What would he do if I was gone-' I was cut off by grabbing my shoulders to scare me.

I whirled myself around to see Carl. 

"Jesus Carl..." I said as I slapped his arm.

"Why are you always up here, up here alone." He asked me as he sat down beside me.

"I don't know... I'm just used to being alone."

"Well, you know now. You're not alone." He whispered as he slowly placed his hand on top of mine and and scooted closer to me. 

"I know. But I'm not sure if I'm better off like that." I replied honestly. 

"You are not alone, and you will never be not as long as I am alive, not as long as I am with you." Carl said defensively. 

"Carl... I know, but I'm just scared. Everyone I have tried to get close to ended up dying. I don't want that to happen to you." I said as a tear slipped down my cheek. 

"It wont. And if it does, well than maybe some people are worth dying for." He sighed happily. I smiled and turned to him and I rested my head on his shoulder as he brushed his fingers through my (Hair type/Hair colour) hair.

"(Y/n) I- I'm not good at this but..." He sighed as he looked at me nervously, "Do you maybe... want to be my girlfriend?" He asked as he rubbed the back on his neck and looked up with a smile.

"Of course Carl." I said as I looked into his ocean blue eyes and he slowly looked to me and leaned closer as I did too, I fluttered my eyes closed and once again kissed Carl, feeling the same feeling I did this morning. But then just as we kissed a voice called out from below,

"Hey Carl." I looked to see a girl who looked like she was my age, she was beautiful, her hair was long and brown, and her eyes were beautiful and shone out.

"Hey Enid." Carl yelled out to the girl on the ground who was apparently named Enid. Carl climbed down the tower as if he forgot about me and went to the her. I glared down and felt a pain strike my chest in the form of guilt.

"I'll talk to you later (Y/n)." Carl yelled from the road as he almost touched the ground.

I waved down trying to hide my emotions but then I saw the glare from Enid, her once beautiful eyes now stared up with a smirk.

I'm not sure any more if I'm better off alone, or with Carl.

Hey guys, I wanted to make a chapter that was happy and cute, then I wanted to introduce Enid and make a fight over Carl. Bu don't worry it will get better between you and Carl.
