It Starts Weird and Unrealistic, and Ends Weirder and More Unrealistic, Colon A Fan Fiction

Luke Hemmings just smiled at her.  She did not smile back. Her face was emotionless. She leaned over the chair next to him and whispered, "Wanna get outta here after this?" As the security guard grimaced from the corner of the movie theater, Alexandra allowed herself to smirk at Luke. To God, especially in this moment, she had wished this had been a chance meeting with 5 Seconds of Summer. In fact, it could not have been more planned.

"I don't know. I've got a show tomorrow." Luke hesitated in his familiar Australian accent. They had been talking, or rather whispering, for about fifteen minutes.

"You're going to need to learn how to operate on less sleep than that, Luke. It's only eleven." This comment made him uncomfortable. After acknowledging what she said with a slight lift of the head, he eased back into his chair.

The fact was, Luke did not want to get out out of there at all. He was tired and wanted to go back to his hotel room. Plus, his mom would wonder where he was if he didn't come back with the rest of the boys; however, Calum's words from earlier that day echoed in his mind: "Dude, when was the last time you had fun with a girl? You should do something new and unpredictable. Pun intended, brah." A high-five with Michael ensued after the comment.

"Hey, I'm not that into Brad Pitt saving the world anyway, " he lied to Alexandra. "Let's go out and do something fun." She was surprised but did not question it. Ashton Irwin, who was sitting next to Luke and undoubtedly heard their entire conversation, waved goodbye.

Walking out of the theater, she realized that she was probably just in the right place at the right time; she needed to actually get him to like her.

"So what do you want to do at eleven in Montreal, when we're both under 18?" Hemmings asked her as his security guard caught up with them. As he explained to the guard that he would not be mobbed tonight and begged for privacy, Alexandra thought about it. What do you do with a guy that's done everything that stays open until eleven?

As the security guard walked away, she said, "Well, I could always go for a late night piece of pizza…" She used her knowledge of the guitarist to her advantage.

"Perfect." Though it wasn't the late night party he had imagined, it was new and unpredictable.

That night was neither what Alexandra nor Luke expected. That night wasn't even fun, but it was necessary for each of their survivals.

When they sat down at the nearest pizza parlor, she realized how out of character this was for him. When he opened his mouth that night, words just kept flying out. He couldn't stop himself from revealing everything about his life. He confided about having to be tutored on the road/how much he hates chemistry, about the pressures of the One Direction shows, about the fans loving him to death, and about his never ending acne. He just wanted to feel comfortable about saying anything. He just wanted to talk without consequence.

This conversation, however, was not one-sided. Alexandra too confided about her solitary lifestyle, her vicious prep school in Texas/Honduras, her unnatural obsession with 5SOS, and of course, that she purposely went to World War Z that night because of a Keek he posted about their going. [Ashton's thoughts: How did she find the theater? CREEPER. PS This part is boring]  She even told him how she had driven alone from upstate New York to Montreal just to go to the One Direction show tomorrow. But he didn't judge her, and she did not not judge him. Well, he kinda judged her.

The pizza parlor closed at two in the morning, at which time they walked around the city, still talking until three. He dropped her off at her hotel, leaving her with his phone number, a backstage pass for the show, and a long hug.
