A shriek pulsated throughout the darkened landscape, holding both fury and anguish. It echoed off the walls, combing many screams and crashes of things around.

What came out of the shadows was unexpected - it had large ashen wings that were around thirteen feet in diameter, it's back was hunched with different spikes coming out of the spinal cord, and it's statue-like appearance could be a hazardous illusion to any unexpected bystander.

A protruding beak snapped midair of a dashing bundle, the bland eyes never blinking, but it showed an odd complexion of anger in the profound depths. Loud screeches of distraught threatened to break any eardrums. Just that simple noise, was deafening.

She knew the gargoyle was dangerous. It was the one thing that could probably kill her in just one swipe if accurate enough. Saccaro, being the outgoing and naive wolf she was; had entered the lair of the beast and had taken some food. Though without knowing, she found herself running for her life, with no food at all.

Her stomach was growling at her, aching and on the verge of revolting up the small fragments of food she had actually eaten a few days ago, but that stopped the complaining when a hooked claw smashed into her side.

It felt like something was trying to impale her side. It was crushing her bones, or at least it felt like it. Even the person with the least-common sense would know that they were in deep shit. A sticky situation, that she had to get out of quick or she'd be the food this time.

Twisting just the slightest on all fours, the ivory she-wolf let out a snap of ominous canines when she hit the ground in a splay of both injured limbs and torn fur. Abhor shone deep within cobalt azure eyes, gleaming intensity hiding hidden strength; and whining to herself and demanding with her metacognitive voice, she renounced any pain and jumped to her paws.

Limping slightly, she stood her way, and faced the monsterous creature. Though she didn't want to shed blood, it seemed like the only real escape plan at the moment. Ears flattening against her skull, she took position and crouched, pelt ruffled and bristling, showing off her fear and aggression.

Then a a whipping sound made a frightened yelp escape baring jowls; the cutting vibrance of air smacking all around her. Saccaro instantly locked her eyes on what thing was doing it; the thing's tail was slithering back and forth at an intense speed, the tip a hooking barb. Just the sight of it had made her stomach curl, and tail sink low to the ground as a growl rumbled from her chest in an attempt to scare the thing off.
