"That's a boggart, sir." Dean Thomas told Remus, who was walking around the room discussing a wardrobe-like object in front of the students.
"Very good, Mr. Thomas. Now can anybody tell me what a boggart looks like?" Remus inquired.
"No one knows." Appeared Hermione out of no where. "Boggarts are shapeshifters. They take the shape of a particular creature that the person fears the most. That's what makes them so -"
"-so terrifying, yes." Remus finished her sentence. "Luckily, a very simple charm exists to repel a boggart. Let's practice it now. Without wands, please. Repeat after me, riddikulus."
The class repeated the charm.
"Very good. Little louder, very clear, listen. Riddikulus."
The class repeated it, too.
I heard from the background, "this class is ridiculous." This was said by Draco Malfoy. I smirked and walked up to him.
"The ridiculous thing would be seeing your biggest fear and you not being to repel it. So I suggest you start practicing the charm or you'll be deeply embarassed." I smiled sickly sweet at him and walked back to where I was sitting, seeing that Remus was finishing up his lecture for the class.
"Now, I'll ask Sapphire to please join me here, for a demonstration of how this works." He said. My eyes widened and I shook my head slightly, but he moved his arm to signal me to come. I rolled my eyes and walked up in front of the class.
"I want you to think of your biggest fear, and when I open this wardrobe, you're going to point your wand at it and say the charm. Your fear will be repelled, and laughter would drag away the boggart. Got it?" He smiled at me.
"Alright, bring it." I smirked.
A thought came to my mind. What is my biggest fear? I'm about to find out, won't I?
Remus gave me a reassuring smile and opened the wardrobe. I waited for something simple to pop out, like a spider or something.
But how could my complicated life be paired with something as simple as a spider? I'm not even afraid of spiders. Sirius and James would fear them, and I'd kill the spiders.
I watched the wardrobe door open and out came Sirius. He looked like he did in one of my visions, where we were fighting the Death Eaters. I wasn't even thinking of how the students are reacting to this. A spell was shot at Sirius, and his now lifeless body disappeared into a mist. I wanted to cry right then and there.
This sadness motivated me to point my wand at the scene and scream out "RIDDIKULUS!"
The scene completely changed to when I was a teenager. It was the day when Sirius, James, Remus, and I were at the beach. James made a joke and we all started laughing, before I punched him playfully in the arm. Sirius and I walked on the beach, holding hands and James and Remus were teasing us, while I stuck my tongue out at them. I smiled, but Remus closed the wardrobe right then, ruining it for me.
"Thanks." I glared at him, saying this sarcastically. I turned around to see the students looking at me awkwardly. I was feeling sympathy for a murderer who escaped Azkaban, as it seemed, and after I shot the charm, it was a memory of me hanging out with three of my best guy friends. Who they really are was a mystery to the kids.
"Good job, Sapphire. She executed that perfectly." Remus broke the silence. "Now, Neville, your turn. Everyone in a line!"
Neville's was Severus, which turned into Severus wearing Neville's grandmother's clothes. It was pretty damn funny, to be honest. I wasn't paying too much attention at it until Autumn stepped up.
The boggart shifted into a werewolf. A werewolf that looked a lot like Remus. Needless to say, he froze on the spot. I squeezed his hand and he relaxed a bit. Once Autumn screamed out the charm, the werewolf turned into a small and very cute puppy. She smiled at me, feeling proud. I smiled back at her, but I knew how this made Remus feel. My daughter's biggest fear is a werewolf. One of my best friends is a werewolf.
Then, it was Harry's turn. The boggart shifted and shifted until it turned into a dementor. Remus's eyes widened, as did everybody else's. Remus ran in front of Harry, and the boggart shifted into - surprise surprise - a full moon. I bit my lip as he screamed riddikulus and it turned into a balloon.
Soon, it was back in the wardrobe and Remus told everyone class was dismissed. A lot of kids were disappointed because they didn't get a turn. Harry stayed back for a little bit, looking at me and at Remus a moment, then leaving the classroom.
"So, my daughter is afraid of werewolves. I wonder how long it will take for someone to figure out someone's furry little problem considering your fear being a full moon!" I exclaimed.
"Oh never mind that." He dismissed the subject, still looking sort of nervous. "I noticed that when you shot the charm, it turned into the time we were at the beach." He had a small twinkle in his eyes.
"Yeah. It was a really happy time for me, Remus." I smiled and was about to leave the classroom when Remus spoke.
"It was for me too." He smirked. I left the classroom without another word, smiling as I walked. What a sudden good mood for a small reason.
