It'll All Work Out

~~~Time skip to after you explain and when you're healed becuz I'm lazy ._. (also I apologize if my writing style changes throughout the story, I suck >.< Oh, and I said I'd post a picture of your sister's armor but stupid google couldn't pull up anything good DX)~~~
You were sitting in your wheelchair outside, reading a book. You looked up at the sound of hollow metal footsteps.
"Sister," (s/n) began, "what will we do now? Since you don't have your limbs..." She trailed off, looking at the ground and twiddling her metal fingers. (twiddling, is that actually a word?)
"Don't worry, it'll be okay. I can get automail in Rush Valley." You gave your sister a big closed eye smile. But on the inside you weren't so sure.
"Okay!" (s/n) seemed a lot happier now.
The next day they got tickets and got on a train to Rush Valley. (btw you are 12 and your sister is 11 at this point) You moved off your wheelchair and onto the cold, hard, unforgiving seats of the train. (s/n) pushed the sides of your wheelchair together for easier travel. (like, folded or something)
"Ugh, why do the seats have to be so hard." You complained, adjusting yourself on the seat.
"I don't know, sister." (s/n) shrugged making some noise. (like when Al moves, I don't know what to call it) The train started moving and you practically smooshed your face on the window to look at the view. "Stop smashing your face, sister." (s/n) chuckled as she pulled you away from the window slightly so you weren't smooshed. (lol, I like saying smooshed)
"Fine." You pouted, but slowly started to fall asleep as time went by.
~~~1st person POVs now! (s/n)'s POV~~~

Sister fell asleep faster than I expected, so I just watched trees and grass go by until we got closer to Rush Valley and it became sand and mountains. When the train finally stopped I turned and started gently shaking (y/n).

"Sister, wake up, we're here." I spoke softly.

"Hngh... huh? Wha-?" Sister blinked a couple times.

"We're here." I repeated, standing up and opening sister's wheel chair.

"Oh, okay." She replied, yawning. (why did i yawn when i typed that?)

Sister shuffled over and I helped her into the chair. I pushed her out of the train and into town. We walked down the street for a while, looking at all the shops.

"Hey, kid and the person in the armor, over here!" I male voice said. Sister and I turned our heads to look at a man holding a rather large wrench that rested on his shoulder.

"What is it?" Sister asked the man.

"You look like you need automail, come'ere." The man motioned us over. I shrugged and pushed sister over to the man.

"We don't really have any money-" sister started but the man interrupted her.

"Eh, it's on the house for a beautiful young lady like yourself." The man smiled. I swear I saw the tiniest hint of a blush on sister's face.

"Oh, alright then." Sister replied after a moment and returned his smile.

"So what's your name, sir?" I asked politely.

"I'm Arrenshliemer Hellisworth. Weird name, I know. So you can just call me Arren!" He flashed a thumbs up and a wink. Sister laughed.

"Okay Arren, so when do you want to start on my automail?" she questioned after she stopped laughing.

"Heck, no better than right now, that's what I say!" Arren took sister's wheel chair from me and wheeled her into the shop. "First I have to measure your real limbs and make the automail, then we'll do the surgery for connecting the nerves, and of course attach your automail. Then you'll have to take a year or so for rehabilitation." Arren was already measuring sister's arm and leg after stripping her down to a tube top and panties. (what the heck, I just wanna call them that right now!)

~~~Time skip to tomorrow brought to you by Al and all his adorable cats :3~~~
"Automail's ready, now we gotta get the surgery done. Are you sure you'll be okay?" Arren asked sister as she lay on the operating table.
"Yes, I'll be fine." sister replied.
"Alright then, (s/n) you need to wait outside." He flicked his hand for me to go.
"Okay." I stepped outside.
The rest of the day was filled with sister's shouts and screams as the surgery was preformed. When it was finally done and I was let in I saw sister with an automail arm and leg that weren't yet connected to her nerves, and thread stitches visible over thick cuts from the surgery.
"Are you okay, sister?" I questioned worriedly.
"I'm fine, (s/n)." she replied weakly.
"We'll connect your nerves to the actual limbs tomorrow after you've rested." Arren spoke from the other side of the bed, wiping sweat off his forehead.
I put sister in her wheelchair and pushed her outside. We hit a small bump which caused her automail arm to swing in it's sling and the leg to bump against her chair.
"Hey, (s/n)," (y/n) began "we should start sparring again. You know, after I can move around better." sister looked down and began swinging her leg. Her hair was so long now that it hung like curtains over her face and down over her legs. (sorry if you have short hair, but you need long hair for some parts of the story to make sense)
"Sure, but not until you're ready." I replied, watching the people that walked by. Some of them gave me weird looks, but I'm used to it by now. I heard sister yawn. (flippin heck, I yawned again) "Do you want to go inside?" I asked her.
"Yeah, I'm so tired I could just fall asleep right here." She yawned again. (and again)
I started to push her inside and up to the guest room we were staying in. By the time we were inside the room sister had already fallen asleep in her chair, so I lifted her up and onto the bed.
~~~Another time skip brought to you by, your nightmares, dun dun dun! JK you had good dreams :D~~~Also it's your POV now :DD~~~

I clenched my teeth while Arren was connecting all the nerves on my arm. When he finally finished I breathed a sigh of relief.

"Now try moving them." Arren said, setting down his wrench. (which by the way had a design etched into it cuz it's his fav wrench XD)

I did as I was told and moved the fingers, and then the wrist, the elbow, and finally the shoulder. Then I tried moving the leg from the toes up. It felt odd, but it worked. I slowly and carefully stood up, leaning on the wall for support while I got used to the automail.

"I think it's great!" I shouted and started jumping for joy. It looked a little awkward since I still wasn't used to the fake limbs, but it did the job.

"Now you just have to take the time to get more accustomed to it." Arren highfived me. "Why don't you take a walk around town with your sister?" He suggested.

"Sure! (s/n)! We're going for a walk to help me get used to having automail!" I called up the stairs to (s/n) who had been reading.

"Coming!" She called.

Yes, finally! That's more than 1000 words not counting the little authors note thingie at the top! I know what I want to do with the story, but I still have to fill in all the chappies before that. Or at least I have some ideas, other than that it will sort of go along with the anime? I'm not sure. But we shall see! Hope you liked it!
