Elena smirks, proud of what she's done. What? No, she's not evil. Sure, she doesn't like the four going through this pain. But pain is only temporary. The result will be permanent. Soon, the four will be amazing super-soldiers, who can also control their powers better than ever. They finally stopped the screaming, and slumped in their positions. She walks up to one of the machines, Gale's, and lightly whispers, "Gale? Are you alright?" the result was painful groaning. But it soon stopped. The machines opened, and the man unstrapped all of them. All of the kids immediately collapsed onto the floor. They were all sweaty and exhausted, especially Adara. You can tell she's been crying from the pain, her mascara was running. See, what Elena didn't tell them is that not only can they now fight professionally and fully control their powers, Elena also made sure that the four also each get a different extra power. She forgot which one was which, though. Adara finally stands up, feeling... refreshed? And stronger? And...lighter? She feels as if she's naked, there's no weight on her. "I'm... going to my room." she says to Elena. Elena nods in approval. Adara changes into her fitness outfit and exits the Thames House. She decides to run around the whole block, which was pretty big. Adara loved running. She always used to run around the park with her mom. A tear rolls down her cheek at these memories. She wipes it away, and listens to music. There was one song she always listened to while exercising. No matter how many times she hears it, she never gets sick of it. It sort of motivates her. She starts to run. As if not a care in the world, she runs all around the whole block in just 7 minutes! She decides that this is enough, since the block was big. She suddenly hears whistles, and hoots. At first she thought it was an owl, but how could it be? It was 10:30 in the morning. She soon finds that it was coming from 3 guys. Really muscular guys. One of them walks up to Adara, towering over her small figure.
"Well, hello there, pretty lady." he says, with a strong Manchester accent.
"Seriously? How cheesy." Adara had no idea where this sudden burst of confidence came from.
"Heh, she has an attitude too! Say, how about you and me go somewhere private, huh?"
"Are you kidding me? I don't even know your name!"
"The name's Gus, hun. Something you'll be screaming tonight." he says with a flirty smirk. Adara can smell the disgusting scent of alcohol and cigarettes on him.
"Sorry, but I'm not available. I have a boyfriend." Yes, Adara has a boyfriend, believe it or not.
"You're a stubborn one, huh? Guess you need a little lesson on not saying no."
And with that, he raises his fist, about to hit Adara's head, but she ducks. Whoa, wait, hold up. How did she duck so fast? As if something had taken over her body, she collides her fist onto his nose. Gus, furious about how his nose is now broken, sends his fist to punch her back. But he doesn't get the chance to, as Adara grabs his arm, twists it very tightly, and pushes Gus with his arm, which sends his practically flying onto the floor. Gus's friend gets up and tries to punch her stomach, but misses and Adara does a roundhouse kick, in which her foot practically smashes her face. Adara doesn't even feel an ounce of pain. But still. When the hell did she become a martial-arts master? Realization hits her as she remembers the machine. Was everyone else experiencing these sudden... skills? Gus's other friend, who was trying to stop the bleeding from Gus's nose, gets up and tries to grab Adara. She only punches his face, and runs away. The block was pretty much deserted, no pedestrians, only cars driving on the road. No pedestrians meant that she could run easily. It also meant that Gus's friend could run easily after her too. He eventually catches up to her and picks her up. Adara, not knowing what she's doing, or what she had done, smashes her elbow onto the guy's rib cage. He yells out in pain and let's Adara go, and she runs. She doesn't realize how much she accelerated. Adara stops looking ahead, and looks to the side. All she can see is everything going... slowly? What? Her legs go faster and faster. Adara can't stop herself, yet she doesn't want to. There is an app on her iPod, which is like a speed measure, except it measures how fast you're running. She opens this and checks. "250 km per hour". What the fuck! She stops, well, more skids, and stares at her iPod. It now said "0 km per hour", since she wasn't running anymore. What the hell, just happened?! She doesn't even know where she is anymore. She catches a taxi, which drives her back to the Thames House. Elena and the others were going to flip when she tells them what happened.
