On The Run

Chapter 2

When I got back home, I walked straight through the door. When I am in my invisible state I can walk through objects.

I looked around to see that Pie was working on building something.

"Hey! Wheres Ollie?"I asked looking at what she's making. While making myself visible again.

"Sleeping still, How was The Lion? Did he tell you off for something?"She asked, worry dripping of her words.

"No actually...He congratulated me...About doing so well with looking after Ollie, and he said its about time I spoke to her"I finished and she gasped,

"You can't do that! It will over complicate everything!" She said looking at me with wide eyes.

"Well that's what I said...But then I had an idea..."

"Yes..."She asked curiously.

"Well..He said someone needs to help her with her new gift..."

"Really?! Who?!" She asked excitedly, hoping she would make new friends.

"Errm...You..."I said quietly

Her eyes went wide with excitement.

"ME?! I GET TO TALK TO A HUMAN!"She yelled practically bouncing up and down.

"Shhhhh!" I warned her. "Ollie's still asleep!"

"Oh yeah"She said quietly.

"So here's what you do. You have to remain being the Skunk thing too. But once a day you have to talk with her, and help her with her gift..."

"Yay!"She squealed, but not too loud this time!

I heard movement on the bed, and I instantly changed to my invisible state, as did Pie change into the skunk, Pie jumped of the counter and ran to the door, running out the crack, that she always gets in and out from.

Not even a minute later, she flew back through the window. Just in time to see Ollie open her eyes.

"Whaaaaaa?!"She squealed when she saw Pie.

"Shhh..."Pie cooed.

"W-w-w-w-w-w-w-w-w-w-haa-wh-aa-?"

"Hi!"Pie piped happily.

"Err...Hel-l-loo?"She stuttered making me chuckle.

"I'm Pie!"She chimed.

"P-P-P-ie?"She stuttered once more.

"Stop stuttering, I'm not going to hurt you, silly!"She laughed.

"What are you?"Ollie said confidently.

Pie flew over next to her bed, And gave her a spin.

"I'm a fairy!"She laughed. Ollie laughed slightly. My breath caught in my throat. Thats the first time I ever heard her laugh!

"Your kidding? I have never met a fairy before!"Ollie laughed once more, making the most of the first time laughing.

"Well..You have know!" Pie said laughing."Can we be friends?"

Ollie opened her eyes wide."F-F-rie-nd?"She stuttered once more.

"Yeah, you know...We share secrets, have fun..HAVE SLEEPOVERS!"Pie laughed, and Ollie smiled sheepishly.

"I've never had a friend before.."She said quietly, looking down.

"Well..Then I am going to be the best friend ever!"Pie replied, grinning.
