We Are Forever

"So the council has something serious they want to talk to you about?" I asked to clarify as we slowly flew through the sky. Jack nodded, looking anywhere but in my direction.

It's been this way since the moment we left the house. Now I know I'm not exactly a detective but I can tell when someone's hiding something. And right now, that sneaky someone is Jack Frost.

We continued to fly through the unfamiliar surroundings. At least unfamiliar to me. I'm pretty sure Jack has been here at least a billion times.

I loved flying through it nonetheless. In general I just loved flying. The freedom and the special feeling that comes from it? Oh I could never get tired of that.

Back at the house after the three of us shoved our faces with pizza for 30 minutes, I spent another 15 trying to come up with a logical excuse. Of course while I sat there looking like an idiot while stroking my chin in the process, Jack did nothing to make it better. Unless jumping from the coffee table onto the couch and shaking it every time he landed counts as helping.

On the other hand, Chase was playing some board game he picked up from our shelf. The game he chose to play was honestly 9 months old. That's how long it's been since I touched that thing.

"We're here." I almost missed what Jack said when I flew head first into a pillar.

Who has a pillar on the middle of the skyyyyooohh.

I looked up to see the giant tower resting on a cloud in front of me. Jack stood on the steps with his hands shoved in his pocket. "Are you just going to stand there?" He said through gritted teeth, giving me a glare.

"Geez what's with the sudden mood change." I huffed, crossing my arms and following his lazy steps. Once we were inside, the entrance doors slammed shut behind us. I gasped, holding onto his shoulders in slight reflex.

My hair flashed brown, Jack's eyes darting around for that small moment. He sighed, rolling his eyes and walking along once he realised it was nothing but a measly door that had me acting like that.

A swarm of girls surrounded him, taking his picture. Some even had the courage to push me aside, just to get him from I quote, 'a better angle'.

I bit my lip as I tried my best to follow Jack. The way he walked through the girls without paying them any attention made him look like a bad boy. The type you'd find roaming around the high school hallways smoking because they skipped class.

One girl walked over, pep in her step as she came closer to Jack. His frown disappeared as he smiled at her.

"Hey baby," The girl said in a somewhat sly voice. Jack gave her a quick kiss, taking her hands in his.

Woah Woah Woah back the truck up.

Who's she?

"And who might this be?" She asked, raising an eyebrow and putting a hand on her hip. Ugh the way she carries herself is just like Rapunzel. I already hate this girl.

"I don't know, she's just been following me around. Probably just a fangirl." Jack shrugged. I was so offended. I never asked this jerk to follow him. I had a choice of going home and not even coming with him to this stupid place in the first place.

"Oh so that's what I am, just a stupid fangirl?"

"I'm sorry but I don't speak to followers. Especially the ones that are so consistent."

My jaw dropped. Followers?! I for one am not a follower. I wasn't the one who went running after Jack saying I couldn't lose him!

"You know what I'll just go." I smiled at the evil woman in front of me, holding up the finger behind my back as I slowly walked backwards. "Jack, you have fun alright."
