CHAPTER SIXTEEN

*JAKE'S POV*

The girl that was standing in front of me, Alison, was a pure beauty. Long wavy blonde hair and ocean blue eyes just like Taylor's. Maybe I really did a mistake. I have dated few girls in the past eight years, that's true but I've always realized that any of them aren't like Taylor after few months. I missed her, I wanted her back and that urge was getting bigger and bigger by every second I'd just think about her. I don't know why I was threatening her about her and the ginger jerk, I am just acting like the biggest idiot in the world and I hate myself for that. It's unbelievable what jealousy can do with me. I guess that the fact why I hate him is because he has all I want. The two most beautiful girls in the whole world. I am such a stupid dick. I should've never hit and leave Taylor when we were younger. I loved her and I still do. I just wanted the best for her but I couldn't see that Alison was the best thing that ever happened. But at least she gave her the name I always wanted my child to have. Alison.

"Jake.." she said, her voice shaking. She was scared of me. I knew that. And I didn't like it.

"I'd prefer if you called me Daddy, perhaps."

"You're not my dad. You left mommy broken like a glass with no one who would help her to get fixed." It's obvious that Taylor is her mother and that she raised her well. She is talking like an adult yet she is 8 years old.

"Yes. I am your dad, Alison." I said, taking a step forward as she backed.

"Don't." she whispered. Then continued. "Don't touch me."  

I was getting slightly annoyed by how much she was to Taylor. If she was 17 years older I am telling you, you wouldn't tell them apart. They are like twins. The looks and actions. I bet she can sing too.  

"Alison. Don't make any more steps if you don't want to fall in the damn river." I said, taking a small step forward again.

"Then don't try to approach me or I will jump." Her voice sounding weak but brave at the same time. I was about to stop walking towards her when I realized that the little Ginger was nowhere to be seen. Either he ran away or he ran to get Taylor. And it sure was not even five minutes ago. I had to go if I wanted to avoid Taylor. Even if it meant risking Alison's life.

And that's when I made my last steps forward and Alison made her two finals back. Falling in the river.

Just for my luck I was fast enough to hold her hand, pull her out and run away.

*TAYLOR'S POV*

It was about 9:35pm when I noticed the kids are quiet. Alison wouldn't go to bed without telling me goodnight. I actually wasn't even expecting her to go to bed tonight I went up the stairs and opened the door to Alison's bedroom.

"Alison?" I asked. No answer. No one in there. Strange.

I went to another room. "Alison?" again nothing. Now I was starting to panick.

I went to every single room in this house but neither Christopher or Alison were seen. I slid down on the cold hard ground and started crying. Hysteric sobs leaving my mouth.

"No. No. No. No. Alison where are you." I cried, face burried in my hands, uncontrolable sobs not being able to be stopped.

"Taylor! Here you are, why are you crying? What happened? Taylor, babe, talk to me." I heard the lovely British accent as two strong tattoed arms wrapped around me. A person stroking my hair. I felt like a little baby that just lost his toy. Only this was a real important person to me. My daughter. Ed's son.
