[PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING]: Sorry it took so long to get this part out. I've had school stuff and whatnot, but hey, it's here now! *unenthusiastic cheering*
Anyway, I just wanted to let you know that I was originally going to put the entire rest of Turbo's backstory in this chapter, but the chapter was getting pretty long, so I'll finish it next chapter. Until then, enjoy your long anticipated chapter, and let's hope that it doesn't take as long to release the next one!
Felix twiddled his fingers, "Wait, if you weren't allowed to leave, how did you end up in Sugar Rush?"
Turbo took a deep breath, "Well, as you know, Sugar Rush got plugged in ten years afterwards, and by that time, I was pretty much an expert at coding. I could do almost anything I wanted with it, from summoning objects, to what I would later use to turn myself into King Candy, changing a character's textures. While I still had nightmares and flashbacks every now and then, I had pretty much gotten over my game, and I lived happily under Game Central Station with my newfound friends. However, that all changed when that game got plugged in.
"Everyone started talking about this new game and how awesome it was, and I actually ignored it at first. That was until I heard someone mention something that I'll never forget: 'it's the first racing game Litwak's has had in ten years straight.' At that moment my entire life changed forever.
"I could just feel TurboTime coming back to me at that very second. The excitement of beginning a race, the smell of rubber, the thrill of speed, but best of all, the feeling of actually meaning something. I could almost hear the cheers of excited fans and the gamers' joy of coming in first place. I wanted all of it back so badly, I didn't care if it was entirely candy themed. I wanted to be a part of Sugar Rush. I wanted my life back. I wanted to belong again.
"So, I had to figure out a way to the game without getting caught, and I've gotta admit, it was one of the trickiest plans I've had to come up with, and it actually stumped me for quite a while. I just didn't know what to do. I actually almost gave up, until one night, I came up with something that was sure to work. I programmed an invisible blanket, and I put it over myself so nobody would be able to see me, you know, kinda like what they used in the Harry Potter movies. Then, after a few tries and nearly waking people up, I managed to climb out of the hole, and pop back up in Game Central. Seeing as nobody even knew that I was there, I easily found Sugar Rush and entered the game.
"Once I was there, I took a day or two to observe how the game worked, so I could insert myself without the gamers noticing any changes. That's when I saw how much more advanced this game was compared to TurboTime. First off, this game had a roster. You could actually choose who you wanted to race as. That alone blew my mind. I mean, a game where you can select your character? That stuff was just unheard of as far as racing games went. Not only that, but the roster had new racers every day. Of course, it was really just a larger group of racers that got randomized on the roster every day, but it was still very revolutionary nonetheless. But if that wasn't enough, the racetrack was giant. I mean, Sugar Rush's track made TurboTime's track look like the size of a kitty pool – a really boring one at that, because not only was it huge, but it was absolutely gorgeous. It had all these huge candy-themed landscape settings, ranging from giant gumball machines to mountains of ice cream. It was absolutely incredible! I had never seen a video game that looked so impressive in my entire life; and if I'm being honest, I still haven't. Now, I don't know how video games are like today, but I can assure you; nothing will ever catch my attention like Sugar Rush; and I mean it, too. That game just sweeped my off my feet with how well the graphics were. Kudos to the programmers for doing such a phenomenal job.
