Lola's Request

Alden tried calling Maine a couple of times but she did not answer any of his calls and messages. 

"Ah!!!!" he shouted. He was in the practice room at the GMA Building and it was already midnight. He was alone since the other dancers decided to take a break. They were given a one hour break before they practice again.

He's wearing a white shirt and a sweat pants. His hair was all wet due to sweating. He has been practicing continuously because whenever he sit down and rest a bit all he could think was Maine.

But his body was already tired; he slumped on the floor. He closes his eyes and laid his left hand on top of his eyes. He was so exhausted, his eyes sting.

"Geesh, I'm so tired that my eyes are watering", he muttered.

He continues to lie on the floor, water was flowing from his eyes...and he's afraid to admit the reason for it.

"I was not even given a chance to tell her..." he whispered to himself.

"Then, why don't you tell her", Alden got startled by the voice that answered him.

He opened his eyes only to see Dingdong Dantes looking down at him.

He sits up straight immediately, "Kuya! How long have you been here?"

Dingdong sat down in front of him and met his eyes, "I heard you're here, so I decided to dropped by, they said that you all went out for a break. So, why are you still here?"

Alden brushed his arm on his eyes to hide the tears. Then smile, "They went out for a break, I decided to stay, you know, need to polish the dance moves"

Dingdong tapped Alden's left cheek, "What's with the smile?" he gives Alden a serious look. Though Dingdong is known for being GMA's resident Primetime King, with Alden he is still like an older brother. "You don't have to hide it from me; if you want someone to talk to...I'm just here". Dingdong patted Alden's shoulder comforting him.

Alden nod. "Thanks"

Dingdong stared back at him, they just both sit there. Silence completely engulfing them.

"Is it about a girl?" Dingdong asked while turning his head to looked at Alden...and with the pained expression on Alden's face, he guessed right.

Dingdong heaved a deep sigh, "You're almost like one of the most handsome in the circle of your friends...Hey! Don't tell them I said that, not even to your Ate Yan, huh!", Alden nodded quickly," ...but you're the one who's having a girl problem?" he smile to Alden, "Talk about irony, huh?"

Alden can't help but smile at Kuya Dong's comment. The guy is obviously trying to cheer him up.

"So, what's the problem? Why are you sulking here? Did you two break up?"

Alden bowed his head, rub his hair. Then lean his hands at his back before he answer, "It's much worse than that..."

Dingdong waited for him to continue.

"I didn't get to tell how much she matters to me..."

"Then tell her", Dingdong said

Alden shook his head, "It's not that easy".

"How?" Dingdong asked.

"I think she doesn't like me"

Dingdong raises an eyebrow, "She said that to you?"

Alden met his gaze, "No"

"How did you know that she doesn't like you if you did not ask her?" Dingdong said

He just stares at his Kuya Dong at the sudden realization.

"But Kuya, what if she tells me she doesn't like me?" he asked worriedly.

"When you're talking about girls, no one ever knows what they're really thinking. So it's better to asked straightly", Dingdong gaze at him from head to toe, "if she doesn't like you, you have to accept it, its girl's choice, you know"

Alden laid his hand on top of his chest where his heart is, "But...I don't think that I just like her...I think, I think...I'm in love with her"

Dingdong was silent for a moment before answering him, "Then, that's more a reason to ask her...than just sulking here and not knowing what to do next."

Alden seems to marvel first at what Dingdong said. Then he looked at the guy who's almost like a brother to him then smile, "Thanks, Kuya Dong!"

Dingdong smile upon seeing Alden's a little brighter mood.

"Okay! I think I need to eat, I'm so tired", Alden said. He stands up and was about to gone out when Dingdong shouted. "Hey! Who's the girl by the way?"

He simply smile and grin at his "Kuya Dong". Then run out, leaving Dingdong looking at his back with a funny expression.
