Nicolette is a Fire Elemental, with poor problem solving skills, a weak Element, the tendency to make bad choices, and a secret that could spell doom on everyone. 

 When she finally comes of age to join the first year of the famed school for Elementals like herself, known as Elements Academy, she thought she was in for a ... well ... normal, school year. One like any other. Maybe make some friends, get through her classes, and master her Element at long last, just like her sister, Erika. A normal school year, like the peaceful school Elements Academy is meant to be.

But a threat is lurking in the shadows. An ancient race of Elementals unlike the others, strange powers, the girl in the cage, the strange area around the campus clearing, and a gamble with everyone Nicolette comes to meet... A choice is fast approaching. And a big one. It seems this once-peaceful haven for Elementals in this magical world is turning into that of a minefield. And she's stuck directly in the middle of it.

Ah yes, the long awaited rewrite of Elements Academy. 
I just want to say thank you to any old readers who are reading this for checking back like this, and I ask, for anyone that's read the original, that nobody spoils the story for newcomers. The original Elements Academy will stay up and available, poor grammar, typeos and all, so it won't be going anywhere.

I also wish to warn anyone who'd read the original Elements Academy that this version is going to be very different from the first in many ways. Altered story, differing situations, some characters might be completely absent or replaced. Thank you for understanding, and please, enjoy the better version of this story. Who knows, old readers? You might be in for a few surprises.
