*the next day*
Mark pushed me into the hospital for my weekly check up. They gave me a cat scan and my chemo therapy. They said it was getting worse and spreading into my lungs but the chemo was helping to slow it down. A doctor had been assigned to me and we've gotten to be good friends. Her name is Dr. Stevens but she wants me to call her by her first name Izzie (Grey's Anatomy reference. Comment if you watch :)!)

Izzie pushed me out to the waiting room where Mark was waiting for me. He put his phone in his pocket while Izzie parked me beside his chair. She sat down in the row of chairs in front of us.

"So. How's it's going?" Mark asked Izzie.

"There's a lot of cancer growth connecting from her heart and her lungs. The chemo seems to be slowing it down but not by a lot. We don't think she could survive this." She explained to us. Mark looked distraught. He looked over at me and grabbed my hand.

"Whats her survival percentage?" He asked.

She sighed. "2%. We....we don't think we should waste our supplies on someone who's gonna die. So we're gonna let you go".

I took a deep breath and one out. Mark squeezed my hand.

"Isn't there anything you could do to atleast help get rid of it?! Or atleast stop it!!! You can't just send her home to die!!! You have to give her a chance at life! That's your job! To fix people! To give people a second chance at life! You have to help us! You have to help her!" Mark angrily yelled.

She was about to speak but I cut her off. "Mark. They can't do anything. There are other people that want to live too and I'll just be wasting the doctors time and wasting their supplies. They can't do anything." I told him.

"Well. We could do something that may help." Izzie said.

I quickly rotated my head towards her almost enough to get whip lash.

"Excuse me?" I said.

"We... we could give you heart surgery." She offered.

I immediately went into panick mode. I had no control over it. I started violently shaking my head.

"No! No no no! No surgery! Not again! I will not have surgery again!" I begged.

Mark looked at me concerned.

"All we're gonna do is go into your chest and scrape the cancer growth on your lungs and heart. You won't even feel it! It'll save you!" She explained.

"NO! I AM NOT HAVING SURGERY!!!" I yelled.

"Bexly please! Have the surgery! Do it to save you. And if you don't want to do it for you. Do it for us." He held my hand tighter.

I thought for a seconde. Debating on what the consequences would be. Debating on the pros and cons.

"I'll.... I'll think about it." I told them.

Mark sighed in relief. Izzie stood up from her seat.

"Come to us when you've made a decision." She told us.

She walked away then started to talk to another doctor with reddish blondish hair and another doctor who was a man with short brown hair and looked almost....confident yet scared.

Mark turned around and squated in front of me.

"Don't worry. You'll make it. You'll survive this." He told me.

He passionately kissed my lips then stood up and started to push me out the doors. I turned my head around to see Izzie and the other doctors. They were looking back at us with sad expressions.

Me and Mark were strolling down the sidewalk along the beach. The sun was setting and the ocean looked beautiful. I watched the sun fall behind the horizon, painting the sky shades of red and pink and orange. We walked onto a long wooden dock that went far across the ocean. It started to get chillier so I wraped my sweater around me tighter. We reached the end of the dock and Mark sat on a bench beside me. I watched the waves as they hit the ocean. The sun as it sank into the horizon. I've never experienced such beauty before. I never took the time to watch the sun set. And now I finally do.

"Bexly. Please do the surgery. If you don't..... just please do it." Mark asked of me.

I turned my head towards him.

"Mark. I've died...I've died everyday waiting for you. Someone that would love me enough to never let me go. So don't be afraid. I've already loved you for a thousand years. And I'll love you for a thousand more. So I'll do the surgery." I decided.

He sighed in relief. He pushed my wheel chair in front of him and kissed my lips. He then presented me with beautiful yellow flowers from behind his back. I took them in suprise.

"Why?" I wondered.
