Chapter 8

Camila gulped and nodded, understandingly.

"I'm sorry, Lauren." Camila's voice came out in a whisper.

"Yeah, me too." Lauren replied before getting up.

"Lauren, it's dark outside. It's a little unsafe for you to walk home. I could get you a ride or-" Camila stopped talking when Lauren put a finger up.

"Thanks, but I'll just text Mani to pick me up." Lauren said and Camila nodded her head, watching Lauren leave.

As soon as the door closed, Camila grabbed the nearest couch pillow and screamed into it.

"You fucking dumbass!" Camila exclaimed directing it towards herself.

Camila let jealousy get the best of her and she was disgusted by the outcome of it.

Camila dialed Dinah's phone number and Dinah instantly picked up.

"Camila? Aren't you supposed to be at the gala still?" Dinah questioned her and Camila sighed.

"Can you please come over to my house? Now?" Camila asked.

"I'm on my way." Dinah said and Camila was thankful that her best friend was always there when she needed her.

Lauren was being comforted by Normani. The two were currently cuddling in bed.

"She just confronted you like that?" Normani asked and Lauren sighed, nodding.

"Yes. She just started assuming things out of nowhere! And you know me Mani, I was almost so quick to give in and forgive her but I decided to leave before doing anything." Lauren replied and Normani nodded.

"Good. You need to distance yourself a little, I think that'd be good. Just for you two to rethink a bit. I love you, my little lesbian lover." Normani said hugging Lauren tighter.

"Mani, stop!" Lauren giggled, pushing Normani away.

After the laughing died down, Lauren went off to sleep while Normani decided to scroll through her phone.

Meanwhile, Dinah was at Camila's side. Dinah was currently sitting on the bed next to Camila.

"Uh...sorry to break it to you honey...but you were wrong to assume that." Dinah said patting Camila's back.

"What am I supposed to do now?" Camila asked, frustrated.

"Obviously you have to come up with a better apology than 'I'm sorry' and then make sure y'all are on good terms." Dinah said and Camila sighed.

"But she said she needed some space from me." Camila frowned and Dinah put up a hand.

"Well...then wait like a day. I'm sure she won't be able to resist the Cabello charm, loser." Dinah said and Camila smiled.

"Ugh, okay. I don't think I can wait a full day though, I already miss her." Camila whined and Dinah slapped Camila's arm.

"Dinah! Ouch!" Camila exclaimed.

"Snap out of it, you're so whipped Chancho. It's honestly so cute to find out that you have a heart." Dinah commented and Camila gave her a fake gasp.
