The two took a seat at the table and Camila already loved the smell of the place.

"You like the place?" Lauren asked, looking at Camila who was in a dream-like state.

"Like? I love it, Laur. It makes me reminisce and makes me really nostalgic." Camila chuckled.

"You know, I never got to ask. Where were you born?" Lauren wondered.

"Cojímar, Cuba." Camila answered.

"Wow, I was just born in plain old Miami." Lauren said, eyebrows raised.

"C'mon now, Miami is not plain or old. The people are definitely not plain or old." Camila winked.

"Well, still. So, how did you become famous, miss superstar?" Lauren asked.

"Auditioned in a talent show and landed third place. It's crazy actually," Camila chuckled and Lauren raised an eyebrow.

"How?"

"I wasn't even let in my fourth grade choir," Camila laughed again.

"Well, look at you now. Fourth grade you would be proud." Lauren stated, smiling.

"Well, fourth grade me wouldn't even know the person that I am now, honestly." Camila shrugged.

"Why--"

"Hi! I'll be your waiter today!" A waiter greeted the two.

The two then looked at the menu and ordered some dishes real quick- Lauren going with some empanadas and Camila deciding to settle with some Enchiladas.

The waiter left and the two were up and at it at their conversation again.

"So, anyway, why wouldn't four year old you, not know you now?" Lauren asked.

"I don't know- I wasn't such a confident person back then. I was so shy, I would pee my pants if I had to even do a presentation." Camila chuckled.

"I'm glad you're the person you've become today." Lauren said and Camila grinned widely. That was the first time anyone had ever said that to her and that made her heart warm.

After talking for about ten more minutes, their food came and they decided to eat it before continuing their conversation again.

"I don't know, I kind of always felt like it's weird there's billions of stars but sometimes there isn't a single star out in the night sky!" Camila exclaimed. The two had found a park and a hill at night which meant the perfect thing- stargazing.

They had decided they wanted to spend more time with each other and Lauren suggested this which Camila gladly agreed to.

"Shut up, nerd." Lauren replied, laughing. Camila tightened her grip on Lauren's hand and gave her a fake laugh.

"Ha. Ha. Funny. I'm just trying to make conversation," Camila said.

"You see that star over there?" Camila asked, pointing to one in the sky.

Camila heard no reply and looked over at Lauren who was staring at her with a grin plastered on her face.

"Look over there, Laur." Camila chuckled.
