The beeping of the machine echoed throughout the surgery room.

"His blood pressure is going down."

"Tch...get more blood packs." You said, removing another bullet that broke one of his ribs.

"That's all of them..I'll begin sewing it up." You start stitching with careful hands.

"Surgery accomplish." You sewn his stomach, taking off your mask.

"Wahh~! [l/n] senpai is so cool!" One of your assistance exclaimed, taking off her coat and her gloves.

"Good work to you too. It's almost midnight, please be careful when you go home." You said,"I'll stay back to clean up."

"That's [y/n] for you." One of your senpai chuckled,"good job [y/n] see ya tomorrow!" He ruffled your hair.

You waved them goodbye and turned around, cleaning the blood off the instruments used in the surgery.

"For goodness sake, how are you still alive after taking this bullets." You sighed, inspecting the bullets,"this should come from a sniper.."

"Bingo." You heave a huge sigh," you should know that moving around increases the chances of your stitches reopening." You turned around looking at the man.

"Akabane karma kun."

He smirked and got closer to you.

"Now now, just address me as karma . Thanks for saving my life again angel~" you pushed his face away from yours.

"I have no problem with you being an assassin but I expect you to be careful." You said, putting away the equipments.

"Understood angel~" he blew into your ear giving you shivers down your spine. You were on the edge of punching him but the moment you turned around, he was already gone.

"What was that!" You puff your cheeks," doesn't he have a girlfriend?!" You touched your heated cheeks.

"Well even if I like him, I wouldn't have time for him." You said sheepishly, grabbing your bag, heading to your hostel.

-the next day-

"Good morning." You entered the hospital and was greeted by your good friends, nagisa Shiota and kayano kaede.

"Wah~! [y/n] chan!" Kayano engulfed you with her bear hug. "Kayano Chan! Nagisa kun! What brings you guys here?" You smiled, remembering the times you guys had in 3E.

"We heard karma got injured...again.." Nagisa sweat dropped. Your face heated from yesterday's conversation,"a-ah! I see. I'll take you to his room then."

"Oh, I forgot to ask. What are you doing here [y/n] Chan?" Nagisa asked. "I work here, as a surgeon." You turned to their shock faces," s-surgeon! Did you treat karma kun!"

Passer-bys stared. "Shh! This is a hospital, you're gonna disturb the patients!" You hushed at them," that's right. He's in there." You pointed at the room.

"Karma kun!" Kayano and Nagisa exclaimed, walking in the room. "I could hear you guys loud and clear. "Karma said.

At that moment the both of your eyes met, you were the first to turn away, face red from embarrassment.

"Well then, I'll be going to work. See you guys." You excused yourself and returned to your office ready to work.

"Ah [y/n]," your senpai knocked on your door," boss said that we get a day off, but they want your help treating the patients."
