Yuzuki Uchiha Gaiden ~Book 1~

The cave started to rumble and shake under their feet. The rocks above their heads started to become loose with particles of dust and small pebbles falling. "This is bad!" shouted Obito.

"Run for the exit!" Kakashi ordered already in pursuit of the exit. Team seven hastily ran as the cave began to collapse in a heap around them. Yuzuki heart pounded in her chest as she pumped her legs to go faster.

A small rock falling from the ceiling struck Kakashi's blind side and he fell to his knees with a yelp of pain. "Kakashi!" Yuzuki skidded to a holt holding Rin back. Obito ran back to aid Kakashi, but a boulder was coming down from above.

Yuzuki's eyes widened in fear also seeing the boulder coming. "Obito!" She reached out for the boys. He picked up the unconscious boy and threw him into Yuzuki's arm knocking her back. The boulder came smashing down in a flurry of dust and Yuzuki was forced to cover her face while clutching onto Kakashi's limp form.

A flurry of rock and dust was forced from the cave entrance and the collapse came to a stop. Yuzuki slowly peeled open her eyes coughing a lung full of dirt from her lungs. She gently set Kakashi aside hearing Obito's strained voice.

"Are you guys all right?"

Yuzuki's eyes widened in shock horror and her mouth was wide open. Her words gone dry as her lungs. Her mind couldn't process the thought of in front of her; Obito's body crushed beneath the boulder.

"Obito!" Kakashi yelled shocked and he jumped to his feet to aid Obito. With all his might he tried to lift the boulder, but it was no use. Rin's mouth fell open and tears swelled in her eyes. Both girls were frozen in shock.

Yuzuki forced her body to move. She climbed on shaky feet and slammed into the boulder next to Kakashi to help him lift. She forced all her strength, everything she had forward to pushing. Her feet kept sliding back to the stubborn boulder laying on top of the boy.

"Don't..." whispered Obito with what strength was fading. "It's okay. I don't think... I'm gonna make it. My right side is totally crushed. I can't even feel anything."

"Shut up, Obito!" tears spilled over Yuzuki's cheeks blurring her vision. "You're going to make it!" she cried.

"Dammit!" Kakashi stopped pushing and dropped his head taking in gulps of air.

"This can't be..." Rin clasped a hand over her mouth with tears flowing steady. Obito coughed a spat of blood and she cried, "Obito!"

"We can't stop!" Yuzuki ordered still trying to push the boulder, but Kakashi fell to his knees slamming his fist to the ground.

"Dammit!" he cursed. "Dammit! if only I had listened to you, and we had come to rescue Yuzuki and Rin in the first place... this never would've happened!"

Yuzuki finally faltered against the boulder with a gasp of breath and she scrunched her eyes closed as violent sobs racked her body.

"So what if I'm captain!" shouted Kakashi to the ground, "So what if I made Jonin!"

Obito managed a smile. "Oh yeah... I totally forgot... I was the only one who didn't give you a gift... for becoming Jonin, Kakashi."

Kakashi raised his head.

"I was... wondering what to give you... and I just had a thought. Don't worry... it's not some useless, extra baggage... I'm giving you... my sharingan."

Yuzuki, Rin and Kakashi where all surprised.

"No matter what the village may say... you are a great Jonin. That's how I really feel. So please accept it."
