I walked home from school slowly, not wanting to return to the chaos of my home. Having 2 sisters and 2 brothers is hard, and the noise- unbearable. I am the oldest of the five, with Beth (age 15) coming in at second, Pete (13) third, John (12) in fourth and Sophie (10) in fifth. My name is Zelda, I just turned 17 a few days ago. I am a shy person at first but the more I get to know people the crazier I get. I love animals we have 2 dogs and 2 cats, I write stories and draw, I like cartoons like Ben 10 and Xmen. I often wish I had powers or that werewolves existed so that I could be one, not really into vampires. Anyway, I'm walking home from school and stop at the corner to tie my shoe that keeps coming undone. I don't live in the best neighborhood and I had stayed after school for a 3 hour detention for not turning in homework on time. Its October so the only sunlight left are the pink streaks in the sky. I freeze as I suddenly feel eyes on me. I glance around with out turning my head so as not to alert the stalker. I finish tying the lace, and stand up. Walking casually toward the stop sign ahead. I pass the sewer tunnel that runs under the road. As I pass I see a shadow cast by someone in the tunnel-then a hand clamps over my mouth, I feel 2 points of pressure on the base of my neck. Instinctively I struggle and pull at the hand covering my mouth trying to shout for help. But the strangers' grip is like iron welded to my skin, immovable. The pressure on my neck increases until i feel it push through my skin, the pain is more than a needle would produce, almost unbearable but I knew if I was going to survive I needed to stay awake. As I continued to struggle i began to feel weaker as though my energy was being sucked out of me and eventually I lost consciousness.

The starving Vampire clumsily but greedily sucked on the girl's blood, needing it to survive. He, only a few days ago had been a normal human, her classmate in fact and had not realized he needed blood to survive until instinct had taken over. He drained about 6 pints of blood, she still lived but barley. He awoke from his frenzy and seeing the girl, and thinking her dead began to cry, knowing he had done this to her. He stood a stumbled out of the sewer and ran.

I groaned, and turned my head. My body felt heavy and weak. I couldn't move, so i did the only thing I could, go back to sleep.
I woke up again feeling better, but not well enough to move. I just lay there, going in and out of consciousness, suddenly I was wide awake from a burning pain spreading from my neck to all over my body, I couldn't scream my jaw locked in place. I writhed and moaned as the excruciating pain spread. my blood felt like it was on fire, my muscles spasming uncontrollably. I could taste my blood in my mouth. This continued for what seemed an eternity before I fell into blissful blackness.
