Swan Protector

Killian's POV

I know Im afraid if failing again, but something about this Swan made me want to help.

"Okay Killian, Emma and Henry are ready to go. You keep them safe." Graham says to me.

"I will do the best I can." I say to him.

"Dont do your best. Succeed with greatness." He says to me.

Emma and Henry walked out and come to me. I opened the door to the car and placed Henry in a carseat and I opened the passenger seat for Emma. I got in the driver seat and headed to where we always send the ones we protect.

"So where are we going?" Emma asks me.

"Somewhere safe." I say.

"If its safe then how'd you fail before?" She asks me.

"Well I didnt go there last time." I tell her.

"Why not?" She asks.

"I dont want to talk about it." I tell her.

"Well, what happened? Who do you lose?" She asks.

"Not important." I say.

"I have to know how you failed to know how you will keep us safe?" She asks.

"You ask alot of questions even when your told no more." I say to her.

"Fine, but one more thing promise me you will tell me." She says.

"One day I might, but today is not that day." I tell her.

"Welcome to Storybrooke. What the heck is Storybrooke?" She asks.

"A town so unheard of no one will find anyone. Now most people here are protecters or being protected. No one really speaks about what and who they are running from." I tell her.

"So where do we stay?" She asks.

"You and Henry will be staying with me. Its the best why to keep you and your son safe from harm." I say.

Once we got to my place I helped Emma our of the car and saw a sleeping little Henry so I picked him up and carried him inside.

"You dont need to carry him." Emma tells me.

"I know, but I dont mind. Anyway welcome home. Now this is Henry's room." I say opening a door to a room of trucks and dinosaurs.

"How'd this happen so fast?" Emma asks.

"Not important." I say placing Henry down in the bed.

"Where do I go?" Emma asks.

"Right this way." I say opening the next door.

"Wow its so nice." She says.

"Now get some sleep Swan. I will be right down the hall. If you need anything just come on in. If you have any nightmares just scream. I will be there." I tell her.

"Thank you Killian." She says.

"Anytime Swan." I say.

Emma's POV

I tried to sleep, but I cant sleep. I know Im somewhat safe here. I just cant sleep at all. I got out of bed and checked on Henry. He was fast asleep I worry about him sometimes. I saw Killian's door and decided to see if he would talk to me. I knocked on the door.

"Come in." He says.

I opened the door and Killian was in his bed shirtless and wearing sweat pants.

"Sorry to bother you I cant sleep." I tell him.

"Its okay. That happens a lot of first nights. Now would you like to have some tea, watch a movie, or lay down and talk about it?" He asks.

"Lay down and talk." I say to him.

"Well come on." He says patting the side of the bed.

"Thanks." I say and lay next to him.

"You dont need to worry my agency will find Neal and you and Henry will be safe once again." He tells me.

"Once Im free what will you do?" I ask.

"Well if I succeed I will be back in the game. If I fail Im done for." He says.

We staid quiet after that kinda weird. I wonder what his big fail was? I wonder why he choose to help us? These are the questions that haunt me right now.
