DragonCrest Online: The Beginnings

I hurriedly ran home and burst into the house, and before I could make a break for the stairs to my room, my mom stopped me.

" Kaiser McLean Griffin!" my mom shouted. " You are not going to your room until you've had dinner!"

Darn it, she caught me. Guess I gotta wait until after dinner to go in game.

I quickly sat at the table and wolfed the food down. Hmm, it seems that I was actually hungry. I swallowed a second helping of mashed potatoes and let out a burp. Mom looked at me and I said ' Excuse me'. After another thick slice of steak and a full glass of juice, I was officially stuffed.

" Uhh, that was some fine food mom" I said. " I can't believe I nearly missed this"

" Thank you sweetheart, now go do what you wanted to do"

Wow I nearly forgot that I was gonna play DCO! I took up my plate, fork and glass, washed and dried then and placed them in the dish holder.

I ran upstairs and turned on the Nuerolink and placed it on my head. I felt dizzy as my mind was pulled into the game and I was Xanathos once more. I looked around to see Claire and Theo at the Skills shop purchasing some books. I walked over to them and greeted them.

" Nice of you to finally log in, X" Claire said playfully punching me. " I was about to leave you and go to find a place for the guild hall"

" Yeah Xanathos, I was even at the monastery today with my dad and even I logged in before you" Theo said.

" I had some issues to take care of but I'm ready now" I apologized.

" Then let's do this" Claire yelled.

We walked throughout the city trying to find an abandoned place but with no luck. We searched high and low, but everywhere was taken. Then an old man called out to us and we rushed over to him. He collapsed into my hands and I gave him a HP potion and he regained strength.
" Bless you my child" the old man said. " I asked some others for help but apparently a little old man like me isn't worth their time."

We helped him to his feet and he dusted himself off, then continued to speak.

" Well, how would you youngsters like to help out this old man" he asked.

I looked at the others and they nodded. " Of course"

" Very well, in an old castle south of here lies my grandfather's diary." the old man begins. " He was a prominent business man who soon became the Lord of Eisengard, a city to the north of Arcadia. But he died mysteriously and with no known document to name me heir to his estate, another man stepped forward to become the Lord of Eisengard."

" I'm sorry, that this happened to you, but what can we do to help" Theo asked.

" I need you to get the diary and with it the documents that prove that I'm the proper heir"

" But how will you get the current lord to step down?" I asked.

" I believe that he killed my grandfather to get the title of Lord, so if we find proof of this he will be demoted and executed"

" Alright, we will help you"

Quest: You have the Right to Rule ( Quest name)

An old man has approached you hoping to get you to help him in his quest to become the rightful ruler of Eisengard. He needs you to retrieve his grandfather's diary and any documents relating to his identity at the Castle of Death. Also when you are successful in the first mission, find out if Theron, the current Lord, has anything to do with the death of the previous lord, Nathor.

The old man, rather Aaron, thanked us and gave me a key saying that it was the key to the castle. We set off through the city gates, leaving Aaron to pray for our success.
