"I can't do this." I whispered to Nahuel as we waited for my fathers signal.

The Volturi, massive and menacing compared to my family and the wolves, is currently standing against my family. The leader, Aro, is talking with my grandfather, who is apparently an old friend of his.

"Look at me." Nahuel, dressed in clothes native to his tribe, grabbed my hand and spun me around. "You are strong enough, you can do this. I am right here." He squeezed my hand reassuringly.

"Okay." I smiled lightly, my nerves still threatening to send me into a panic attack.

Noticing my nerves, Nahuel smiled and opened his arms "Come here." He whispered and I folded myself into his arms, relaxing completely in his safe embrace.

"I just don't want to lose anyone." I sobbed quietly.

"I know, you won't have to though. This plan will work, trust me." He spoke quietly.

"I do trust you. It's them I don't trust." I whispered back and he tightened our embrace.

I looked over his shoulder toward the field just as my father turned and gestured towards me like we planned.

"It's time." I squeezed Nahuel and turned towards the opening.

"Let's do this." He smiled and started walking in front of me.

As we walked I noticed the Volturis surprise at seeing Nahuel, and I also noticed Nahuel's quiet dignity as he approached the very people he's been avoiding a majority of his life.

"Hello, young ones." Aro greeted us. "This lovely girl must be Elizabeth Carlyle, and who might you be?" He asked Nahuel.

"My name is Nahuel. I am like Elizabeth, half-human half-vampire." He spoke in his rich, dark accent.

"Really?" Aro still looked surprised but guarded. "How old are you?"

"We don't tract time in the Amazon as you do, but we say that I'm around one hundred and fifty years by your calendar." Nahuel answered.

"And you've managed to go undetected for this long?" Aro questioned, surprised by Nahuel.

"Hybrids pose no danger. I am the only one to have shown venomous qualities, the only person I've ever changed is my Aunt Huilen, she cared for me after my birth and the death of my mother." He answered.

"And what of your father? Where is he?" Aro asked.

"He, he-" Nahuel stuttered and I silently grabbed his hand in reassurance. "He is currently caring for my three half-sisters, they are hybrids as well, and they also pose no danger. If you wish to punish hybrids, spare us and my sisters, my father is the true villain in all of this. The Cullens are innocent." He spoke soundly.

"I'd like to see for myself just how innocent young Elizabeth is." Aro smirked, looking around Nahuel's shoulder at me and extending his hand.

I stepped up to him and looked curiously down at his still outstretched hand.

"Take it, my gift is to see memories but I can only do it through touch." Aro instructed.

I shook my head and placed my fingertips to his cheek, surprised, he took a deep breath as I relayed my every memory to him.

"Remarkable!" He exclaimed as my memories stopped at the present. "It seems as if you are innocent, well," Aro looked at Nahuel and I suggestively "at least in some aspects." He chuckled.

"Brother, they could prove to be capable of formidable, villainous acts. We can't allow them to-" Cauis yelled.

"Silence brother!" Aro cut him off. "I see no harm here. The Cullens, along with Nahuel and his sisters, are pardoned. We are done here." Aro instructed and the Volturi were gone in an instant, the only clue that they had been here at all was the breeze they created as they ran.

For just a moment, everyone was silent, the only sounds in the field were mine and Nahuel's heartbeats. I felt like I was in shock. They left? That easily?

Then, all at once, my family cheered behind me and Nahuel pulled me into his arms and swung me around happily as my family came towards us.

"Elizabeth, are you alright?" Daddy asked, noticing my lack of laughter.

"Yeah...I just can't believe it's over. They're gone? So easily?" I questioned.

"Yes, they are. We don't know what the future may hold, but, for now at least, let's be happy we all have each other." Grampa Carlisle smiled at me and the rest of my family.

As we turned and started heading back towards the house, Nahuel slipped his hand into mine sweetly, the familiar sparks running through my blood, and we smiled brightly at each other.

"I guess this means that I can finally mark The Cullen Project as complete." I giggled.

"Yeah, you can, can't you." Nahuel nodded. "You've finally found your family, your mother is back, and now the Volturi posses no threat to you. Congratulations." He smiled sadly.

"What's wrong?" I asked, squeezing his hand.

"I guess this means I'm going back to the Amazon, my aunt is going to furious when she finds out where I've been." He sighed.

"Why would you go back?" I asked, suddenly breathless and panicked at the thought of him leaving.

"What is there here for me?" He asked, looking at his feet as we walked, a tone of deep despair in his voice.

"Me." I stopped in front of him, looking up directly into his teak colored eyes. "I'm here, I'm not going anywhere, and I don't want you to leave."

"Really?" He asked, his gorgeous eyes wide with surprise.

"Really!" I nodded.

He broke out in a wide smile and pulled me up into his arms again, hugging me as if I was the most precious thing he's ever held.

"I think, no, I know." He stuttered. "I love you Elizabeth." He whispered reverently, sending my heart beating wildly in my chest and butterfly's flapping in my stomach.

"I love you Nahuel." I cooed, meaning it completely. We've only just met I know, but there's something between us, something big and undeniable and I can't ever let him go.

He laughed happily and the next thing I knew he was kissing me, sweetly and softly but still with so much passion I felt absolutely weak.

"I can't wait to start planning the wedding!" Aunt Alice chirped and giggled as she skipped past us, making Nahuel and I jump apart in surprise.
