HTF Oneshots

You were walking down the sidewalk in a coat, a scarf, and snow boots. It was winter time, and very close to Christmas. You had a candy cane with you, but it wasn't for you. It was for a certain squirrel that you admired.

You never admitted your feelings for the squirrel known as Nutty. It was only because you felt like there was no point, considering his only love is candy. You shrugged it off and kept walking, going to his house. It began to snow while you were walking. You stopped for a minute, listening. Everything was oddly quiet.

You watched the snow and smiled slightly. It was very peaceful. The town rarely ever had peaceful days, because people were usually running around causing horrible mistakes. You began walking again, soon arriving at Nutty's house. You went up to the door and hesitated. Should you knock?

You took a deep breath and went ahead and knocked, holding the candy cane behind your back. It was a rather big candy cane, you definitely wouldn't be able to eat it in one day. Well, maybe Nutty could.

The door opened and Nutty was standing there, tilting his head.

"Hey (Y/n)...~" he smiled when he saw you, and opened the door wider, gesturing for you to come in. You smiled and walked in, looking around. You hadn't ever been in his house before. You suddenly felt a pair of arms wrap around your waist from behind.

"Merry Christmas Eve eve...~" Nutty whispered and rested his chin on your shoulder. Your face became red and you smiled.

"I-I have a gift for you..." you stuttered. You felt a bit embarrassed afterwards.

"That's cool, because I have a gift for you too!" Nutty let go and smiled happily, "Stay here!!" He suddenly ran off. You stood there, waiting for him to come back. Then, Nutty suddenly ran back to you.

"Got it!" He yelled, not really meaning to yell. You laughed quietly and smiled. He led you to the living room and sat you down on the couch, then sat next to you.

"Alright, I'll give you mine first," you stated, revealing a big candy cane with a green bow on it. His eyes widened and he carefully took it from you, staring at it. If he could have hearts in his eyes, they'd probably be there. You smiled, delighted that he liked his gift. He looked sad suddenly.

"What's wrong?" You asked.

"I don't think my gift is as good..." Nutty replied, and you could see a small blush forming on his cheeks. You tilted your head as he gave you a small box. You took it from his hands gently and opened it, revealing a candy heart necklace. The big heart read 'Be Mine' on it, like the Valentine's Day candy hearts. Your face got red and you smiled, taking it out of the box and you put the necklace on.

"I love it...~" you purred in Nutty's ear, causing him to blush. He smiled and suddenly tackled you on the couch, nibbling on some of the candies on your necklace. You laughed and hugged him, petting the back of his head. He smiled and snuggled you, hugging his candy cane as well. You never knew Nutty had feelings for you as well, and it felt good knowing he did.

"Hey, (Y/n), guess what?" Nutty looked up at you with big eyes.

"What?" You asked.

"I love you!~" He purred.

"I love you too, silly."
