"I was about to introduce you to my parents and saw that you fled." Lauren said letting her thumb graze the back of Camila's hand.
"What if...what if they don't like me? I can't bear being around someone, especially your parents, pretending they like me if they don't. I don't want them to like me just because you do." Camila confessed, looking down.
"They're like me, and if I love you then I'm sure they will too." Lauren said, trying to comfort the girl.
"You think so?" Camila muttered.
Lauren let her free hand cup Camila's cheek and direct the brown-eyed girl's face towards her.
"Stop doubting yourself. I love you, they will love you, you're not that hard to love." Lauren said in a soft and gentle tone.
Camila leaned into Lauren's touch and grinned at the green eyed girl. Camila leaned in, quickly kissing the girl then stood up straight, smiling.
"Okay, let's go." Camila said, tugging on Lauren's hand.
This time, Camila was the one to lead Lauren toward the room where Lauren's parents were currently packing up for their trip.
Lauren smiled seeing this push of confidence from the brown-eyed girl.
Camila knocked on the door and Mike and Clara looked back, their eyes widening a bit then smiling.
"You must be Canola!" Mike exclaimed, laughing heartily, approaching the younger cuban girl. Camila's face heated up upon hearing the wrong name being said.
"Uh, dad, her name is-"
"I know! I was just messing with you, Camila. Mija, Lauren talks about you all the time! How could I not know your name?" Mike laughed once again then engulfed Camila in a hug. Camila grinned at how friendly he was and hugged him back.
"Mr. Jauregui! Yes, I'm Camila and I'd definitely love to hear what Lauren says about me." Camila replied after they pulled away from each other.
Camila quickly headed over to Lauren's mom and greeted her.
"Hi, Mrs. Jauregui!" Camila said approaching the smiling woman.
"Camila, hi! Just call us Clara and Mike. You seem like a lovely girl." Clara grinned, hugging Camila.
"I would hate to break up this love fest, mija, but we have to get going so we don't miss the flight." Mike interrupted and Lauren frowned.
"Aw, well, it was very nice meeting you." Clara told Camila.
About fifteen minutes later, Lauren and Camila had said their goodbye's to Lauren's parents.
"See? That wasn't so bad." Lauren said, rubbing Camila's back.
"Yeah, that went pretty swell." Camila sighed happily, hugging Lauren.
"Now, it's just time to meet my siblings." Lauren said, directing Camila towards their rooms.
"Oh! my! god!" Camila groaned.
