Scootabelle: Fireflies

Scootaloo's POV:
I woke up early on Friday morning to the sound of loud music from Rainbow's room. I checked my alarm clock, 4:37.

Ugh.

I decided that trying to sleep was useless. I got out of bed and dragged my feet to Rainbow's room.

I flew up the door, "Dash, why do you have your music up so loud at 4:30 in the morning?" I asked her.

"Because Scoots!" She yelled happily, digging through her closet. "Today is the day! Tonight at Pinkie's place I'm gonna tell Fluttershy how I feel! I need to be prepared!"

"Then go. To. Sleep!" I said, "Please! At least turn off your music, or plug your earbuds in or something!"

"Sorry squirt, but I need to get an early start! You might use one too, don't tell me that you don't have a special someone that you want to groove with tonight. Even if it is more of a rave than a dance." She smiled.

"Ugh bleck! Dating is not for me!" I said.

"That's fine, I'm sure that you still want to look nice for this rave? Go pick an outfit! If there's one thing I learned from Rarity: you can never be too prepared!" She smiled again, and kept digging through her closet.

"Yeah... I learned the same thing from Sweets." I smiled too, and then burst into giggles. Rainbow joined in. There was nothing incredibly funny, we just started laughing and couldn't stop.

She shooed me off and told me to go get dressed. I realized that I had been in my pajamas (aka my underwear) this whole time.

I chose a pair of sweat pants (you can't dance in jeans), my favorite shirt from Panic! At The Disco, and a pair of old black Converses that after three years still fit my huge feet just right.

I made breakfast for Rainbow and I while still thinking about what she said. Was there someone I wanted to call mine?

Sweetie's POV:
My alarm went off. Six o'clock. Right on schedule.

I went through my usual morning routine, and then went out to the kitchen for breakfast. Rarity wasn't there.

I walked into her room, she was on her bed giggling, phone in hand.

I rapped the door with my knuckles. "Rarity, we need to get ready for school. Stop talking to your girlfriend. You can do that later."

She nodded, and put her phone down. I ran out to get breakfast ready.

After we ate we headed out the door. I slipped on my sandals that even at the smallest size I could find (without the shoes being nothing but plastic) were a bit too big.

We hopped on the bus, I went to sit down with my friends to see that it would be just me and Scootaloo. Applebloom was back there with her sister after getting in a fight with a bully yesterday.

"Hey Sweets." She said, trying to make conversation.

"Hey Scootaloo, can't wait for tonight?" I asked her.

"Yeah, the dance, the sleepover, and Rainbow Dash is going to tell Fluttershy that she had a crush on her." Scoots smiled, then covered her mouth.

"RAINBOW DASH HAS A CRUSH ON FLU--" She cut me off by covering my mouth.

She put her finger on my lips, "Shhh..." She said.

"But Rainbow has a crush on FLUT--" I started, but she cut me off again by stepping on my foot.

"Goddammit Scoots you have shoes on! I have sandals! You're going to break my pretty little feet!" I smiled, knowing that she loved it when I cursed and hated it when I obsessed over myself.

"Just. Please shut up. Or else I'll a have to really quiet you down." She said, and got a devious grin.

We got to the school, and headed to class.

Scootaloo's POV:
After school ended, Rainbow and Fluttershy picked all three of us up, and drove us to Pinkie's house. We ran around for a while, until it was 5:30, and Pinkie volunteered to drive us herself.

We each got twenty bucks and headed off to the rave.

"You know I helped set up this little shindig?" She questioned.

"Heh, yeah, I knew that." I told her.

She seemed pleased, and dropped us all off by the entrance.

"I love you all like family!" She yelled as she drive off.

That made me happy. Pinkie Pie really knew how to make you feel good.
