(A/N: This story is getting really long. I'm not sure how many more chapters there are going to be, but expect to have this book wrapped up in a few months or something. Anyway, on with the story!)
"Hi Bob! Nice to finally meet you in person!" I wrapped my arms around Bob and gave him a hug. "It's nice to meet you too Wade." I hugged him also so he wouldn't feel left out.
Bob and Wade are some of Mark's best friends, but they are oblivious to many things. They have no idea that Dark is even real. I told my best friend, Mark should be able to tell his. "Our big event is tomorrow, so do you guys want to record some challenges today?" I offered.
Bob shrugged his shoulders lightly, "I don't know, I thought we could use this time just to talk and get to know you better."
"That's fine too!" I said.
We all gathered in the living room of Bob's house. Mark decided to order pizza and have it delivered because we are too fucking lazy to go pick some up. "So, (Y/N), what do you do for a living?"
"I-uh" I stuttered a little bit. I didn't want him to think of me any less since I didn't actually have a job at the moment. Quitting my old job was rough, but after the accident there was really no way I could work there.
Mark decided to answer for me, "She helps out with ideas for my channel. Also she is the co-owner of our charity." His words took a while to settle in my mind. Co-owner. It felt strange to know that I was now a part of a "business" or whatever you want to call it. The feeling of creating something and knowing that it belongs to you is a wonderful feeling. (A/N: Just like writing a book!)
"That's awesome. It's great how strong your relationship with Mark is. I've never seen anyone so close to each other." Wade sort of complimented us.
"Heh, yeah." Mark said under his breath. My first assumption was that he was thinking about Stella. It's been so long since I have ever thought about that name. That girl I've never met, who is apparently miss perfect. After this amount of time, Mark should be way over her, right? Actually, I shouldn't think that way. It's been a long time without Dark here and I still miss him deeply. I guess pain can last a long time, but it is worth it for the people I love.
"Earth to (Y/N)!" Mark waved his hand frantically in front of my face.
I jolted a little in my seat. "Sorry, I was daydreaming. What's going on?"
Mark chuckled. "Wade just asked you where you were born."
"Oh," I said a relieved. "I was born in (city), (state). Later on once I grew older I moved here to L.A so I could get my dream job. Which was my actual previous job before I met Mark. I was a huge fan of his, actually. I was so happy to finally meet him that one day."
"I never in a million years thought that I would date a fan." Mark whispered.
"Would you rather like to date an air conditioner?" I joked. The only return I got from my bad joke was a small laugh from Wade. Yet, he laughs at a lot of terrible jokes.
Mark nodded, "I also like it when women have big air vents." (A/N: That's from a video Mark did with Team Edge.)
I bursted out laughing. I loved that video Mark did. I was a big fan of Team Edge too. Maybe one day I could meet them. That would be so cool. Wow, I've been around too much, I've started saying 'so cool'.
Bob, Wade, Mark and I continued to talk through the night. The pizza arrived and we all ate and had a lovely time. It was getting late outside so Mark and I eventually allowed Bob and Wade to have some peace. Mark paid for a hotel room for the night so we could sleep and be energized for the morning. It was a very nice hotel room, unlike any other I had ever stayed in. YouTube sure brings in a lot of money for Mark.
There was only one bed so we had to share. Honestly, I didn't have a problem with that at all. "Goodnight." I spoke to him exhausted from the long day. It was crazy to think that this morning I woke up in California. And now, I have travel across almost the whole country. So much can happen in one day. Even that sometimes can be an understatement.
"Goodnight." Mark replied to me. In an instant I fell asleep.
"Good morning!" Mark spoke. It felt like one second ago he said goodnight. How in the world could it already be morning?
"Five more minuets!" I complained.
"Okay." Mark said, "I'm going to get dressed and prepare for today. Get up when you feel ready. I'll be in the shower if you need me."
"I'm good right here." I smiled and started to play with my messy hair. By the time I got the chance to look around, Mark was already gone. Seconds after I heard the water running. I decided to lay in the bed for about ten minutes later. Once I finally had the strength to get up, I put on my favorite outfit. There was no point in taking a shower when Mark is keeping it occupied. Heaven knows I'm not joining him either.
Once he was finished taking a shower I used the bathroom to get my makeup done and do my hair. I was almost positive people were going to take pictures of me so I wanted to look my best. Part of me starts to wonder how Mark deals with the pressure of having to look good everyday so he can record. The internet is such a judgemental place, I don't know if I'll ever be ready to face it head on.
"You ready?"
"Yes."
(A/N: Sorry this chapter was boring. It was more of a filler. There will be more eventful stuff happening in the next one!)
