Kamal's POV
"You know you're gonna have to tell mum and dad right?" Jamal said, he knew kalani was pregnant from when I first found out like last week.
"They're gonna go crazy"
"Yh Ofc they are but yu have to bro"
I nodded and sighed
We both got up and went to their room and knocked on the door
"Yh?"
We walked in
"Whatsup?"
I took a deep breath "Kalani's pregnant"
They both looked at me for a moment and I looked at Jamal and then back at them.
"You got your girl pregnant?" Dad started
I nodded
"When did you even start having sex?"
"A few weeks ago"
"And you were bare backing her?"
"Yh"
(N/a bare backing means not using a condom)
"Kamal are you crazy?!" Mum finally spoke
"Don't shout" dad calmed her down which was surprising...
"WHAT DO YOU-"
"It's not gonna help the situation" he looked back at me "Kamal, I'm disappointed in you. Really disappointed in you"
"Understandable" I replied running my hand through my curls
"Does her mum know?"
"I don't think so"
"What you gonna do about it?"
"Erm she was gonna abort it today but-"
"But what?" Mum asked
"She has to go with someone that's 18"
"Well we can go with her-"
"I wanna talk to her first"
They nodded and then dad diverted his attention to Jamal
"Have yu beat?"
He nodded
"Bare back?"
He shook his head
"Take a leaf out of your brothers book Kamal"
I smiled lightly and nodded just about to leave their room
"This conversation isn't over"
I nodded and went to get ready to see Kalani.

I got there and she answered the door to me and looking like she'd been crying so I gave her a tight hug.
I explained to her what happened between me and my parents and she slowly nodded.
"Does this mean I have to tell my mum?"
I nodded and then she nodded her head once.
We walked into the kitchen where her mum was and we explained everything to her.
She looked so disappointed and angry at the same time
"I'm disappointed in both of you. How could you be so irresponsible!? Now you're going to have to get rid of a life you BOTH created out of foolish behaviour?! You are throwing a life away!!! Do you realise how many people would love to have a child and you two are here taking advantage of that!!!"
We stayed silent
"Do you want to abort it?" She looked at Kalani who looked down into her lap
"I can't have a baby now mum, we're going into year 11 and-"
"Okay" she cut her off and then turned her attention towards me "I don't want you seeing my daughter anymore"
"Mum!"
"Idc what you have to say Kalani"
"MUM THATS NOT FAIR! This is on BOTH of us!!"
"And that's why you're BOTH not allowed to see eachother!" She shot back
Kalani looked at me with tears in her eyes
"That is so unfair"
I sighed "babe it's okay" I pulled her in for a hug and she cried in my chest
"I love you babygirl" I whispered in her ear
"I love you to babe"
"You can leave now." her mum said coldly
I kissed Kalani's forehead and then left their house

When I got back home Jamal and my parents were in the living room. Jarell and Janai were already asleep
"What happened?"
"Well i ain't allowed to see her if that sums it up for you" I sighed sitting on the sofa
"I understand where she's coming from, it may not last tho" mum tried to comfort me but my mind wasn't even here
I got up and locked myself in my room and slumped on my bed

This is literally all my fault and because of my stupid actions Kalani is gonna have to get rid of a life we created together. How depressing is that?

Kalani: I'm sorry about my mum 😔
Kamal: nah babe it's cool, im sorry for putting you through this. Seriously, we're gonna have to get rid of a life...
Kalani: don't say that
Kalani: Ik it's the reality of it but I don't wanna think of it like that. I just wanna get rid of the baby before it develops any further
Kamal: I get yu b
Kamal: I'm sorry 😔😔
Kalani: nah this is on both of us b
Kamal: 😔
Kalani: the only reason my mum is acting like that is coz the same thing happened with her and how she got pregnant with me. The dad just cut her off and her family didn't support her and so no one took her to get an abortion and so she's been stuck with me ever since ✌🏽
Kamal: babe you say it as if you were a mistake
Kalani: I was
Kamal: well you're the best mistake that's ever happened babe. You're the best thing that's ever happened to me... Word
Kalani: I love you babe x
Kamal: I love you too x
Kalani: night x
Kamal: night b x

On my life I feel for Kalani, like she feels as if her mum don't really like her cah of how she was created and that. She's got it hard aswell. Like her mum is a single mum doing the best she can for herself and Kalani.
Like she don't live in a massive house with ensuites and pools like my family does and so I am really grateful for what I have 🙌🏽 and I'd literally do anything for my princess to make her happy
Like if there's a motive and she can't come cah she ain't got suin to wear or she don't have the money, I'd sort it for her
I'd literally do anything for this girl man

She's slyly depressed and she thinks that I don't know or I haven't realised but I'm tryna get her out of it before it gets to bad.
