"6:45 p.m." I mumbled under my breath as I stared at my wristwatch. "Do you usually go home this late?"
"Yeah, sometimes later. " Akashi replied as he climbed out of the car with me following him after.
"You go ahead and clean yourself if you want." Akashi stated without looking behind. "The maids will prepare our dinner then."
"Okay."
~~~
After finish cleaning myself, I quickly got dressed as went our the door. Yet again, it was a borrowed clothing that the maid lent me. This time, a more casual one.
I went to the dining room a little too early. There was no one in sight, not even the butlers or maids. Seconds later, a butler walked in the room and was surprised to see me there.
"Miss." The young butler said, bringing back his composure. "Dinner will be ready in a few minutes, you could come back later."
"Oh, I see." I nodded. "Thank you."
Maybe I could check on Akashi for a bit.
But I don't know where his room is...
"Um excuse me. " I called out to the butler. "Sorry to bother you again, but where is Akashi's room?"
"Young master's room is just 4 doors to the right from the guest room you're currently staying in."
"Again, thank you!" I cried out to the butler and dashed towards the hall.
Let's see my room is over there so his room should be 4 rooms to the right.
There it is!
I raised my hand to knock before pulling it back, hesitating.
What was I doing? Wouldn't I be a bother if I went inside his room? And what am I going to do when I'm in there?
I should have thought this through.
"Did you need something?" A voice asked causing me to startle.
"Akas-" I turned towards the redhead just to cut myself from talking the moment I faced him. Akashi was dressed in a casual clothing/a pair of basketball shorts and a black tank top with his towel around his shoulder as he dried his hair with it.
I had to admit...he looked sort of cool-
"Hey. Are you listening?" Akashi called, bringing me back to reality. "I asked you if you need something."
"No! Not at all." I blurted out as I raised my hands subconsciously. "I just..um..I...I don't know either, sorry for bothering you."
I see." Akashi said, opening the door to his room slightly revealing a glimpse of a piano inside. "If that's the case, you could-"
"You play?"
"What?"
"You play the piano?" I asked again, showing a glimpse of excitement.
"Oh." Akashi said subconsciously as he looked at the piano. "Yeah. I used to, still does sometimes."
"Hmm." I said, moving to the side to peaked inside Akashi's to see more of a clear view of the piano. "What songs can you play?"
"Mostly classic." Akashi said as he opened the door wider and walked inside. "Come in."
"Huh?"
"You are interested in the piano aren't you?" He asked raising his eyebrow slightly. "Then come in."
"Sure. You could say that." I said, walking into the room. "Thank you."
"Yeah." He responded, closing the door behind.
I voluntarily walked toward the piano as I touch its edges. Truth to be told, I was not that interested in the piano, I was actually more interested in his room.
I looked up from the piano and glanced around the room. His room was quite nice, rather neat actually, not what I imagine a guy's room to be. I then glanced around more before spotting a violin case besides what I assume, the closet door.
"You play the violin too?" I asked him in surprise.
"Yeah." He replied as he sat on his bed. "I'm quite fond of it as well."
"I see." I grinned. "You're quite musically talented aren't you?"
"I suppose." He let out a small smile and got up from his bed, walking towards the closet door. "I'm going to change my clothes for awhile, you go ahead and do what you like, Just don't touch anything brittle." With that last sentence, he closed the closet door.
"He's surprisingly kind today." I mumbled, staring at the closet door. I shook my head and sat on his bed before noticing picture frames on a drawer. I stood up from my seat and walked toward it and grab one of them.
I couldn't help but chuckle at the little red-haired boy in the picture who was grinning from ear to ear holding a basketball in between his hands. I set down the picture frame and grab the one beside it. This was not much different than the first frame, which again manage to bring a smile on my face. Inside the frame, was a picture of what it seems, a 9 years old boy playing the piano with a small smile on his face. It was almost too adorable to be seen. Again, I set down the picture frame and grab another, this time with a woman in the picture and of course, the same little red haired boy.
Who was that woman?
His mother perhaps?
Just in time, Akashi seemed to have stepped out of the closet. He was wearing a slightly more formal clothing although it was more casual than during the last dinner we ate together. He turned to look at me and noticed the frame I'm holding.
"Which picture are you looking at?" He asked as he walked towards me.
"The one with you and a woman." I replied casually and I set back down the frame on the drawer. "Is she your mother?"
"Yeah." He replied in a monotone, but I can't, but noticed his eyes softening a slightest. "She is."
"I see." I nodded my head in understanding.
Speaking of which, I've never actually met his mother personally before.
"Where is your mother?" I asked with a hint of curiosity.
Akashi sighed and looked directly at my eyes before saying the words, I never thought he would say.
"She passed away."
I widen my eyes in shocked as I quickly apologized for asking such question.
I never knew. I never knew that...
"It's fine." Akashi said reassuringly with a small smile on his face. "It's been a long time anyway."
"The clothes-"
"Yeah, the clothes you're wearing was my mother's." Akashi informed me causing me to be more shock. "It's fine though, nobody wears them anymore."
"No! I can't, I mustn't!" I retorted back. "It's yo-"
"I said it's fine." Akashi sighed as he opened the door to the room. "We should get going, dinner's probably ready."
A/n:
This gotta be the longest chapter I've written so far.
Reader-san never actually knew anything about Akashi, so this is sort of a big reveal.
I have to admit, this chapter was kinda rushed. I probably have to re-read this and fix some of it.
I hope it's not bad and I hope you like this chapter.
Thank you for reading this chapter and please vote for it if you like it.
Thank you again, and see you next chapter 👋
