19. Smokey eye.

 What the hell happened? It was just a nightmare? But why it looked so real? What happened next? Is the girl okay? What the fuck!

My mind was full of questions. I was shaking and soaked in my own sweat. I decided to take a shower 'cause I can't fall asleep after that. I walked into the bathroom and to my surprise, my back wasn't hurting anymore.

The perks of being an elementar.

I stayed in the shower until my fingers became pruned. I stepped out of the shower and wrapped myself in a big towel. I went in the closet and pulled out a pair of black shorts and a red t-shirt. I put my hair in a messy bun. I looked at my phone again and now it was 5 AM. I stayed 2 freaking hours in the shower?? Well, since I'm already awake and in 1 and a half hour the idiots will wake up, I should cook the breakfast today.

I tip toed downstairs, trying to not wake up someone. I let out a sigh of relief when I arrived in the kitchen. I turned on the light and I started to pull out the ingredients I need and the utensils. I want to make bacon, fried eggs, waffles and some pancakes. I never did pancakes in my entire life but I saw River making them it doesn't look to hard.

After 1 hour

You know what? Let's forget about the pancakes. I already burned 5 pancakes and I am so close to throwing the bowl with the composition into the wall. 

I sighed and threw away the burned pancake. "At least I made the eggs, bacon and waffles so I'm not that bad." 

Someone burst into the kitchen yelling "WHY IT SMELLS LIKE BURN HERE??" and looking frenetically around.

I turned around to see River. "Good morning you too." 

His eyes focused on me and he furrowed his eyebrows together. "Shadow? What are doing up so early? And what are you doing next to the oven? Are you trying to kill us???"

I rolled my eyes at his attempt of a joke. "That was so fun that a part of me died from laughter. NO you idiot! I cooked breakfast and tried to make some pancakes."

"Now I get it. The key word is tried right?"

I scratched the back of my neck. "Yeah...."

"Okay Shadow. I really appreciate what you did, but what do you say if you'll let the cooking on me?" he said with a chuckle.

"That's a very good idea." I said fast and took a seat.

"Good. Now let's see how many pancakes I can do from the remained composition." River said and started to make the pancakes.

I put my head on the table and yawned. I'm still tired but I can't sleep right now so I decided to distract myself by looking at River flipping the pancakes into the air. Wow, he really is good. I meant at cooking you little perverts! He is my brother! But he still looks good, what can I say. I studied him for a moment. He has dirty blond hair and  blue-green eyes. He is very tall, I think 6'2 maybe? And very muscular. If I wouldn't know River and I would see him on the street, I would be afraid of him. Just look at him! He can kill me just by sitting on me. But in reality he is a big softy unlikely Flame. He looks bad and it is bad. He looks exactly like River. The only way you can difference those two is by their comportment and their dimples. Flame has one on his left cheek and River on his right cheek. The only resemblance between me and the twins are the eyes. As for the rest, we are completely different.

"What are you thinking abouy lil' sis?" River asked pulling me out of my thoughts.

I smiled at him. "I was thinking about how different I'm from you and Flame. The only thing we have in common is the eyes and the sarcasm." I said and he started to laugh.

"Yeah. I think the sarcasm is a feature in this family."

"What feature?" Flame asked when he entered the kitchen followed by Lincoln and Hazel.

"The sarcasm." I answered him and he started to laugh too.

"S? You are already up? That's so bad. I wanted to wake you up with Mr. Trumpet." Hazel said evilly.

"Screw you with a spoon. Morning Lincoln." I said and turned to Lincoln.

He just looked at me and nodded his head.

"Morning. I'm hungry." Sparky said when she walked in. No, let me reformulate. When she was dragged in by Ash. 

He puts her on her usual spot. "I told you that I'll make you get out of your bed."

"Whatever. I'm hungry." she said and flipped him off.

"Hello hungry! I'm papa River! Eat." River said and placed a plate full of food in front of her.

From that moment she stayed silent. No word came out of her mouth.

"Morning." a very sleepy Black mumbled when he walked in.

"Where's Sky?" I asked when I saw that he was missing.

"Still asleep. He wasn't feeling very well yesterday. He had his ass kicked in Fighting." Lincoln explained.

"Oh." was all I could say.

"Everyone take a seat! Breakfast is served! Oh, and Shadow cooked everything except the pancakes." River said and placed a plate in front of everyone.

"No I didn't poisoned the food. And I really am not hungry." I said and pushed my plate away.

Everyone stopped and stared at me. They didn't even blink.

"What?"

"Are you okay?" Sparky asked looking worried.

"Yeah. I'm just no hungry. That's all." I said with a fake smile.

Some of them bought it and went back to eating, but some of them didn't. Sparky was still glancing at me from time to time, Lincoln was staring at me with a I-don't-believe-you-face and Black was glaring at me with a face that screamed 'You're lying and I know it'.

'What happened?' a voice said.

I started to look around but everyone was eating. What the fudge?

'Stop looking around. It's me. Lincoln.'

I looked at him with questioning eyes. How can he talk with me without moving his lips?

'This is my super power. I'm telepathic.'

Oh. This makes sense.

'Now. What happened? Just think your answer and imagine it like a message and sent it to me.'

I nodded my head. 'I had a very bad and very real nightmare. After what I saw, I feel like vomiting even when I look at food.'

He looked at me a little surprised. 'I have very bad and very real nightmares too.'

I looked at him shocked. What the actually fuck.
