Lost and Found | Dan x reader

"Yes, yes. I would like to take a vacation.

Yes, about... a couple of months?

Just some family matters...

Yes I'm sorry. Ok thanks bye." You hang up.

It's work. You called to get a holiday for taking care of Dan. Your job really needs you but you really can't go back in a while. It's a really tough decision to make but anyway you need the holiday after all.

"Who is it?"

"Oh it's just work." You sighed turning around only to see Dan leaning against the door.

"Work?"

"Oh um it's a.. a part time job." You lied.

"What is it?" Dan asks.

"Oh it's just nothing." You don't know what to say until something hit you, "wait! Aren't you supposed to be outside doing your algebra?"

"Oh c'mon! It's really really very difficult!! I don't want to do them anymore!!!" He groans and melts into the floor playing innocent.

He used to do that when you don't lend him things or not helping him. It was and still useful as you will always soften your heart to him.

"Fine!" You rolled your eyes, "15 minutes break."

"Yay!" He ran off to the living room happily like a child having a homework break.

You put away your things and went out to the living room. Dan is sitting on a bean bag (fun fact: I'm writing this part sitting on a bean bag) playing Mario Kart. You watched him play and he finishes the final lap in third place.

"Hey wanana join?" He looked up to me.

"Sure." You sat down in another bean bag next to him grabbing the other remote controller and started the game.

The first track, Dan chooses the volcano path. You haven't played since high school. You came in 8th while Dan came in first.

"You're so bad!" Dan laughed at your score.

"It's not fair! You have been playing and I'm not!" You complained.

Both of you played a few more rounds. You aren't really good but not bad too. You're the 5th while Dan's the second.

"OMYGOD!" You gasped looking at the clock, "its already past eight! We've been playing all afternoon!! Your algebra-"

You looked over to Dan only to see him with a big smile spread across his face. "You mean it! You make me play and forget about your work, didn't you?" The smile grew bigger and guiltier.

"You.. you.... " You wanted to scold him off but his face is really very funny that you burst out laughing. Dan laughs too.

"Ok... Ok... " you started, wiping your tears away, "I'll forgive you this time. Anyway, I'm starving. Let's order food."

It's so fun writing this chapter. It's just too cute to imagine... yet very short. I promise the next chapter will be amazing.
