Poem to summarise the week - Saturday's Post - Sorry It's late
Return to me my child- dialogue between God and Man

I hear a voice calling
In the silence of the night
"You're in the wrong place my child 
Won't you step into the light"

"I've seen you're hurt 
I feel your pain
I wish to dry your eyes 
And bring you happiness again" 

"Come to me as you are 
So I can make you whole
Leave this life that is waying you down
Give me your heart and your soul"

So I listen to the voice
Get up and leave this life, of sin and strife
And run to him in the dead of night 
At first willing to give him my life

What do you mean Lord, I can't hate her
Do you even know what she did?
I gave her everything Lord 
Not that it mattered one single bit

You see it's easy for you to say
Sitting up there on your throne
You've never been where I've been
Or felt how I felt when I was alone

You didn't have your hopes built 
To be stomped to the ground
I even tried my best to befriend her Lord
But she's messed it all up now

All those lies behind her smile
All those rumours spread around
All those times we shared a secret prayer
For the church gossip to bear it everywhere

So Lord you see
Yes, I'm answering your call 
It's just very hard for me 
To just, surrender all

I'll just hold in this little bit of hate
I'm sure you can understand 
It's just a little malice Lord
I promise I won't get irate

I won't even shout about it Lord, I promise I won't make a sound 
You know Lord it's not even a big deal
It'll only take about 0.2% of my heart
And If you can make her apologise Lord
I might even give her a fresh start

You see I don't want to be in the devil's camp
But I just have to draw the line, make a stand

All the deceit must stop 
The drama must end
But in the mean time Lord 
I must hate my friend

I will give my heart to you
And follow you completely
If you'll just be patient Lord 
You'll see i'll forgive her eventually

"My child you know I love you 
And I want the best for you 
I'm glad for your honesty 
But I must tell you the truth

You see, I am a jealous God
I only want you to think of me
No one my child
Can't you see

I want all of your heart 100%
Nothing less will do
Your mind, body, your soul too

Give it all to me
So I can set you free

Let me get rid of your hatred
So you can return to me
