Steve Rogers and Bucky Barnes One Shots

You and Steve had been married now for almost two years. You married him knowing that there might be baggage. He was ussually open and honest with you about his missions and the things that had been happening with him. But ever since D.C. he had been quiet and cut off. You knew about Bucky and you couldn't imagine what Steve must be going through. Every time you tried to help he would refuse.

You were sitting in your office at SHIELD thinking about everything that's been going on between you and Steve. You needed to say something to him. Try to comfort him or just be honest and say that being so shut off isn't helping your relationship. You thought about what you were going to say as you walked back to the Stark tower where you and Steve lived.

You stepped into the elevator inside the tower. "Floor 17, Friday." you said.

"Yes, Mrs. Rogers." she replied as the doors slid shut. You stood leaning against the back wall with your legs crossed in front of you. The elevator slowed to a stop at floor 5, the meeting room.

Steve, fully dressed in his stealth suit, looked up at you as he stepped inside. He tried to give you the same heart-warming smile he gave you every day.

"Hey Hun." he said and kissed you as the elevator doors closed again.

"Where to, Captain Rogers?" Friday asked.

"Home." he replied while looking down at his hands.

"Yes sir."

"Thanks Friday."

You knew you had a perfect opportunity and if you didn't say something now you never would.

"Steve, I need to talk to you." you said.

"What is it, Y/N?" he asked concerned.

"It's the way you've been acting lately. It's just, I don't think it's helping our relationship and I'm afraid of losing you. You seem so distant and shut off and I've wanted to help you but you won't let me." you rambled.

His brows furrowed. "I didn't realize I was acting that way, y/n. I'm sorry." he replied and took your hand in his.

"It's not your fault. I know you have a lot going on."

"That's no excuse. If I ever start acting like that again, tell me. You're never gonna loose me, and there is no way on earth that I would ever loose you." he said.

You smiled. Your heart felt lighter now that you had talked to him about it.

"I love you, y/n." he said as he put his hands behind your head and kissed you again, and this time it felt real and passionate.

"I love you too, Steve." you said after pulling away.

Steve spent the rest of the day at your side. You felt close to him again, which was something that you had missed for a long time.
