•emily finished putting her makeup on before her mother called her downstairs. "i'm coming!" emily yelled downstairs as she looked in the mirror one last time.
"i can do this," emily whispered to herself. satisfied with her appearance she gathered everything she needed before meeting her parents downstairs.
her mother was fixing her husbands tie while emily walked downstairs with her purse clutched to her side.
"will cameron be meeting us there?" her father asked and emily nodded her head. she was nervous to see what cameron had chose to wear.
"does everyone have everything they need? i have some very good news that i would love to announce at dinner," her mother said as they made their way to the car in the garage.
emily sat in the backseat as her father drove down the busy street. she looked out of the window coming up with a bunch of possibilities for how this dinner should end.
once they arrived cameron sent emily a text saying he should be there in five minutes. they decided to wait to order their food and only get some drinks for the table.
"so remember how i said i have some big news?" emily's mother asked her. emily nodded her head confused as to where this was going.
her mother took a huge breath.
"i'm pregnant!" she half yelled at the table and emily's eyes went wide. she was excited to have a new baby brother or sister and couldn't wait.
while emily and her mother were talking about her mothers job, cameron walked inside the restaurant in a black tux. he was also nervous, but knew he had to do this for emily.
one of the waiters led him to a table, and while emily was sipping on her wine through a straw as her mother kept talking she looked up.
she noticed cameron walking towards their table and she didn't know what to do. she thought he looked absolutely breath taking and couldn't believe the sight in front of her.
before thinking she stood up from the table and walked towards cameron giving him a hug and a kiss on the cheek. emily's mother was impressed.
"mom and dad this is cameron; cameron this is my mom and dad," emily said before sitting down. emily's parents stood up and gave cameron a quick hug before sitting back down.
cameron sat down in the empty seat next to emily and her parents instantly started asking questions.
"how are you?" her mother asked and he replied saying he was good.
"you're the young man who took my order at the restaurant yesterday with emily," her father said eyeing him.
"yes, that would be me sir."
"how did the two of you meet?" her mother asked cameron smiling.
"well mrs?" he asked her.
"hart. cara hart."
"well mrs.hart, emily and i met at her job. she was waiting tables and i asked her to a dance party later," cameron explained and emily widened her eyes.
