"so you dance?" her father asked him.

"sometimes," cameron replied. he didn't want to tell her father about his dance group, or emily. although she loved dancing he didn't want her caught up in it. it wasn't an ordinary dance group.

emily's father nodded his head and a couple minutes later a waitress came over towards them to take their orders.

it was probably an hour later until cameron excused himself to go to the bathroom.

"so emily he seems like a really well handed young man," her mother said before putting more food into her mouth.

"dad, what do you think about him?" she asked her father. she knew from the bat her mother would like cameron, but she wasn't so sure about her father.

"he's alright," he replied before and then went back to eating dinner. emily rolled her eyes at his comment and began eating as well.

she heard a buzz and looked under the table to see a phone on the ground. she picked it up to see if it was from her phone and saw a text appear.

zach| dude it's 9 o'clock hurry up! we have to practice.

emily assumed it was cameron's phone because it couldn't be hers or her parents. she excused herself from the table saying she had to use the bathroom.

she walked towards the boys bathroom and waited outside to hand cameron his phone. once he appeared he was slightly scared that she was waiting outside.

"what's up?" he asked her.

"your phone was on the floor," emily said handing it to him before she walked into the girls bathroom to wash her hands.

"crap," cameron muttered to himself once he read the text on his phone.

"what's wrong?" emily asked him.

"i i have to go," he muttered.

"to practice?"

"yes."

"what for?" she asked him.

"it's nothing."

"if it's nothing then why can't you tell me? we're in the middle of dinner with my parents."

"look i understand that, but my friend needs me."

"why can't you just tell me what it is?" she asked him confused.

"were practicing a dance routine," he said rolling his eyes. she was so persistent to him. he tried walking away but she put his hand to his chest.

"you have a dance group?" she asked him with wide eyes. he nodded his head.

"can i join?" she asked him also. emily loved to dance and she wanted to spend more time with cameron as well. just to get to know him of course.

"it's not something you can handle," he responded laughing.

"you don't know what i can handle," she said laughing.

he unlocked his phone and searched on youtube the latest dance routine that him and his dance group did. he showed her a video and she checked it out surprised.

"now i definitely want to join," she said laughing as she handed him back his phone.

"i don't know, first we have to talk to the guy who runs this group and he's very harsh with newbies. we mob places with dancing skills it's for entertainment. once the dance is over you need to leave quickly and i don't think it's something a girl who wears heels mostly all the time can handle."

"once again, you don't know what i can or can't handle," emily said smirking.

and that was the start of emily's career. joining the mob.
