Still in Cassi's POV:

I changed into my rainbow colored, zebra printed monokini, and walked out to the pool. The swimsuit covered most of the scar except for the tips. I hated my step-dad with such a passion you wouldn't even imagine. I clomped down the stairs making sure to make as much noise as I could, and slammed the back door. I dropped my towel on the bench and climbed up on top of the diving board. I took a deep breath to get my bearings, and executed a spiral drop. [A/N: I relly don't know what a spiral drop is, I don't even know if it's a real dive. I just thought about it and it sounded good so ya ;)]

I swam back to the opposite side of the pool, and when I resurfaced, I saw Tristan, and his band of prep cronies. I doggy paddled to the stairs, and stood up out of the pool. I was greeted by a round of wolf whistles, in return I gave them a sarcastic smile and I flipped them the bird.

Tristan POV:

I stood by the boys and watched her step out of the pool as they hooted and hollered. I wanted to laugh so bad when she gave them the bird. She looked so damn FINE! The swimsuit she was wearing hugged every single one of her curves...and well she jus looked SEXY! After the guys left, I went up to my room to get ready for bed. I was about to enter when I heard Cassi's hushed voice.

"Drake............I.............mom.....safe."

I could only hear snippets of then the phone turned off, and I heard the tone of the buttons.

"Mom......you ok........is......Jake gone........?"

"I......SOB.......beating us..........gone......thank god.......he gone."

Who was she talking about? Who was beating her, and her mom. At that moment I wanted to walk into the room, and ask her about it. But I perceived that she wouldn't like it very much, if she found out that I was eavesdropping.

Cassi POV:

After calling Drake, I spoke to my mom. Apparently the Skye's were true to their word. Mom got to leave, and he got the money. I took a shower and changed into shorts and a purple tank.

When I walked out, 2 things were different:

Preppy shit was back in my room.

He was only in boxers, but might I say, he looked like a Greek god.

Tristan's POV:

After the voices stopped and I heard the shower turn on, I walked in and stripped down to my boxers and got into bed. I was drifting off to sleep when I felt something heavy hit me in the back. I sat straight up and glanced around. Not to my surprise the culprit was.....devil spawn, sexyass, wife-to-be Cassi.

"Geez, what the fuck was that for?"

"What the fuck was that for? Dumbshit! I walk out the bathroom to find YOU on MY bed!"

"It's my bed also!!!"

"Nah, Tristan. It used to be your bed, because you said we had to share a ROOM not a BED!!!"

Shit! I loved the way she said my name, and her Italian accent made it sound even sexier.

"Well, sorry Cassi, but that's the DECISION mom and dad made, not me!"

She grunted in disappointment, and reluctantly slid in beside me.

"Tristan Skye, I am warning you, if you touch me I will hurt you!"

"Don't worry EMOgurl I won't!"

UGGH!! She's making certain body parts of mine act in ways it shouldn't be unless I voluntarily make it! I listened to her breathing slow down and I myself, fell into a deep sleep filled with thoughts of Cassi.

Cassi's POV:

I woke up the next morning feeling strangely comfortable. I had figured I'd be very uncomfortable considering the position I fell asleep in. I felt 2 strong arms around my waist, and underneath my hands were rock hard abs. I disliked him, but I wanted to savor this moment with him, im which we weren't arguing. But as good moment has an end, this one had it to. The dimwit's use-to-be-comfortable arms, had tightened, now becoming restricting.

"Tristan, let go." At first I said it quietly, but he didn't let go so I knew that I had to resort to other matter.

"TRISTAN SKYE, LET GO OF ME THIS INSTANT OR I SWEAR, I'LL CHOP YOUR DAMN RASINETTES OFF, AND YOU'LL FEAR ME FOR THE REST OF YOUR LIFE!!!!!"

Lol, well that surely got him off of me and onto the floor. As I sat laughing, and staring at him, I realized how cute he was with the pout on his face, and I also felt a pang of guilt. I really didn't know why I felt guilty. Feeling a change of heart, I stood up off the bed and put out a hand to help him up. He reached up for it, and instead of him standing up beside me I ended up on top of him. I know im supposed to be against anything that has to do with him, but the feel of his body under mine was good. As I looked into his chocolate brown eyes, for the first time since my dad died, I felt safe; protected.

As I laid there on him staring into his face, I could see mixed emotion flit through his eyes. Something happened between us, and I watched as his head moved closer to mine. My eyes fluttered closed, as our lips met. I felt sparks, and as if nothing would break us apart. It seemed that like me, he was putting all of his feelings into that one kiss, and I wanted to do that too.
