Hoseok and Jae Hwa had lived together for seven days, twenty-one hours, and twenty-six seconds, but it was not like they had been counting. They had barely started, and they were already counting down the hours.
The shared apartment was cozy. It was just big enough for the two of them, and they had separate rooms. Jae Hwa had always wondered how it would be to live with a boyfriend. Technically he wasn't her boyfriend. Long from it. She was just doing him a favor, and a big one at that.
Hoseok hadn't quite adjusted to the situation yet. He was still walking around the apartment half-naked and throwing his clothes all over the place. It had become her job to clean up the mess he made. Normally she would have protested on doing anything like that, but it felt different when she lived with him.
Jae Hwa had never lived with a guy before. This was a whole new experience on different levels. It would have been a lie to say it wasn't a struggle keeping up with the changes and challenges with living together.
There had been an episode during the first days where Hoseok had been sneaking into the kitchen in the middle of the night to eat some ramyun, naked. Jae Hwa woke up hearing weird noises from the kitchen and had squealed and run back to her room after facing a naked Hoseok in the kitchen.
She had to admit. The sight wasn't that bad, but she was still shocked. Her eyes were too innocent to be seeing her roommate nude, or that is what she liked to believe. Whether that was the truth or not she had yet to find out.
Hoseok had visited her in her room after that episode, fully dressed, and excused his behavior. She wanted to chuckle and pat his head at his cuteness, but she resisted the urge to make skinship. This was not the right time. Not at all.
They had yet to show his grandpa that they were happy together. If they really were to play this off they would have to practice. Jae Hwa had realized pretending was harder than she thought, and maybe even harder than that again.
Hoseok on the other hand wasn't very concerned. He had told her to play with him, to follow his lead in every situation. She didn't trust him. He was lowkey a real fuckboy. Who knows what he could have planned out.
After finding out Hoseok wasn't some broke thug-like people tended to believe she was, things had changed. She didn't find him that intimidating anymore. She had seen a softer side of the boy. The side he had tried so hard to hide when they had first gotten to know each other.
His friends still didn't know about the situation. They were just happy the two of them were getting along. If they only knew.
Jae Hwa had cut down on smoking. She didn't smoke that frequent anymore. It had been a hard battle, but she really wanted to stop smoking, and she had promised Seokjin. He hadn't forgotten about that day on the roof yet. She hadn't met him up there as much as he wanted them to, but she always fell asleep in the library or found a reason not to go up there.
