"Yin and Yang girl!" She yelled, smiling, and hugged me. "It's Nine o'-"

*DING DING DING DING DING DING*

"OKAY, okay! I'm coming!" We both excitedly ran to the door, I turned on the sound system and it began blasting trap rap, and EDM. My eyes surveyed the lake house; foldable tables, alcohol, soda, cups, chips, and food platters galore. Maria looked my way for approval, and I gave my grin. She opened the door as groups of young adults, and trouble making teens entered the door cheering.

Many drinks later, Maria and I were outside with at least three hundred people scattered in and out of the house, dancing. I stopped in my tracks, from seeing just a glimpse of a familiar face.

"Maria is that?-" I shouted into her ear

She hit pause on the dancing machine inside of her body. "Youtube guy! Yeah! I invited him to the party!" She shouted back into my ear, smiling as if she did a good deed.

"Maybe I'm just drunk... Maria you did NOT invite Max to this party!" I gave her a sour look, crossing my arms.

"Look again, he's coming!!" She pecked my cheek for good luck, and gave a wave of her fingers as she walked away.

"MARIA!" I shouted, instantly feeling an unwanted voice pierce my ears.

"(Y/N), Hey!" An Australian voice bellowed.

"..Max! A-hey! Um.. what's up!" I stay at least 6 inches away, giving a polite smile, putting my hands on my hips.

He chuckled awkwardly, and shrugged. "You.. Umm, saw my youtube stuff?"

"Uh... Yeah!" We communicated in yells.

"Look, It's my job and I've gotta do what I've gotta do to" Max scanned my face, "Yea, it might seem weird but people do enjoy it!".

"..." My thoughts went for a ride on a mini-roller coaster, "Fine. Clean slate" I held out my hand, raising my eyebrows. His hand shakes it, firm but gentle.

"What've you been up too?" I hollered.

"Huh!?"

I rolled my eyes, taking his right arm and dragging him into a quieter place along the docks where rich folks kept their speed boats. I found a polished red boat without it's cover, and climbed inside. "Cmon, climb in!" I gestured towards myself as I sat in a white leather seat. Looking left and right, Max climbed into the expensive boat. He sat next across from me in the drivers seat, which spun around in a full circle.

"Okay," I gave a sugary smile, "How've you been?"

"Working mostly. I would tell you about it but you'd probably get skeeved out" He winced, taking a drink of the fruity Mango-Pineapple vodka out of his plastic red cup.

"You know, I didn't absolutely hate your content.. I actually liked it! Just, the people I hang out with are basic and stuck-up." I gave out a hiss like sigh, the harsh reality sounded even worse coming out of my mouth.

"Wow and I thought my life would be summed up as depressing" Max teased, choking on a laugh.

"Hell, at least I'm not making videos about throwing eggs at things" I sip the rim of my cup, tossing a mischievous look towards Max.

"Hey, I'm NOT Howtobasic!"

I giggle, and we sit silently as the beige moon hovers over us, radiating a bright light over our faces. My eyes wander Max as he admires the glimmering lake. His blue eyes glowed, highlighting the green tint found within them. As soon as his head turned, my eyes shifted.
