"Um, are those the keys?" I point at the dash, a pair of silver keys hid above the steering wheel.

Max looked confused for a moment, and raised his eyebrows once he knew what I was hinting at. "We can't just-"

"Who's gonna stop us?" I hop up, and snatch the keys off the dashboard before Max reaches for them. I dangle them over his head and steals them from my fingers. "Hey! You're no fu-"

*Brrrrnng*

The keys jangled as the engine started. I gasped, taking hold of the boat as it speeded across the lake. "Max!" I shout, laughing like a kid.

"Who's going to stop us!" Max turns his head around, grinning.

7:02 am

I picked my head up off the hard, carpeted floor. My fingers massaged the temples of my forehead. I groaned, trying to get up off of the rocking ground. The sky was a soft orange cream color, baby blue swirled like cotton candy in the orange colored sky. "The boat" I mumbled. I then gasped, "MAX THE BOAT!" I shook his shoulders as he was slumped against the wall of the boat.

"..FucK oFf" He slurred, lightly pushing me away. His breath reeked of alcohol, and his skin smelled salty.

"Max, we're still in the damn boat!" I pushed his arm, and stood back up to look at the wobbling water. "It's still early enough, we can drive the boat back!"

He jumped up, pushing himself off the floor. He rubbed his forehead. "I don't remember driving a-" Max looked overboard, "Ah fuck" He whispered.

"Don't remember?! Max, how drunk were you?" I instinctively scrunched up my face into a scowl.

"I'm Australian, what do you expect!" Max yelled a high-pitched reply, returning the look.

"Okay okay! Just.. get us back to the dock!" I shoved him into the seat hastily, and pushed the keys into the slot. He started the engine, and drove in circles until we found the empty spot that the boat belonged too. He parked it quickly, in a diagonal direction. He blamed it on his blurred vision and I had no choice to accept it.

"I can't get out Max, look at this!" I held on the handles of the exit, peering down at the sideways gap to the wooden landing.

"Don't be such a pussy" Max spat out, and wrapped his arms around my waist as he carried me across the dock. "Better princess?" He put me down, still holding the edges of my hips with the palms of his hands.

I looked up at his sarcastic, one eyebrow raised face. I softly nodded. Our eyes locked, before the moment was ruined.

"AY! THAT'S MY BOAT!" A raspy old mans voice hollered, and a door slam was heard.

We both turned heads, and stared back at each other. The dusty-haired man in a purple polo and tan golfing pants wobbled over, and we broke out into sprints.

"GET BACK HERE!" The stranger could be seen slowly trailing after us, now bent over with a hand on his knee. Far ahead of him, we panted as we walked towards the house.

"Now that's one way to get rid of a hangover" I chuckle, taking a wispy breath.

"Really? My head's still pounding" Max touched the top of his head, and laughed.

It didn't take long, but we were back at the trashed house.

"I gotta grab my stuff, you stay here" I demanded, tapping Max's shoulder as I left him at the back door. He nodded as I slid the door shut, and ran around to get my phone and clothes I changed out of. I tip-toed around the few people sprawled out across the floor, and the occasional vomit found on the tile. I took my belongings, and met Max back at the backyard.

"Where's your keys?" I asked as we walked side by side to the drive way.

"In my pocket, why?" He replied, and felt around his pants.

"Give them to me, you couldn't even drive a boat. How'd you expect to get around in a car?" I shuffled the stuff to my other arm and held my hand out. He scoffed, and dropped the keys into the palm of my hand.

Slowly, we made it to his car. We both got in with tired eyes.

"What about your car?" He questioned, buckling himself into the seat.

"That wasn't mine, smart one." The sarcasm rolled off my tongue as I started up the vehicle, strapping myself into the cold carseat. "Thought most youtuber's had fancy cars?"

"Please, I'm not lambo guy" Max looked out the window smiling. I looked over as I drove away, and giggled.
