Time Changes Everything

I stopped at the top of the stairs and sat down to listen to the fight that was about to occur. I thought to myself how terrible it was that I start all the fights in this family.

Downstairs

"Look at what you did." Luke yelled
"I didn't mean too, I just didn't believe her." Natasha said back
"Why? Cause she my daughter. She went through hell growing up. Im trying to give her a better life even if she is twenty years old. She deserves a family that loves her. Next time my family and I come here, you better not show up." JJ said like venom dripping from her mouth
"You dont need to worry about that Jen. Natasha I cant do this anymore. You are always acting like you are better than my family, but you arent. I want a divorce." Luke said
"Wait, hold up Luke thats taking it to the extreme." Sandy said
"No, Im not. I caught her cheating on me two weeks ago and that beautiful girl up there made me realize that I need to better my life." Luke said back
"Im sorry for all the trouble I have caused for this family." Natasha said crying. The front door slams as I hear a voice I havent heard yet
"Why did Natasha just run out of here like a bat out of hell?" The man asked
"Im divorcing her, dad. Im sick of how she treats everyone, especially my niece." Luke said to him.
"Wait, my baby granddaughter is here?" He said in disbelief
"Yeah, Daddy I am too."JJ said quietly.
"Het, Jenny. I missed you. You need to start coming around more." The older man said
"Tom, Im going to visit them next weekend for Jens and Britts birthday. You can go too." Sandy said
"I think I might. I miss you and the boys, and now I need to spend time with my grand daughter. Where is she by the way I thought she was here?" He asked
"She is. She ran up stairs because of..." JJ was saying before I interrupted
"Hi." I said quietly stepping back into the room
JJ walked over to me and gave me a big hug and whispered "I love you so much."
"Daddy this is Britt. My daughter." JJ said to him with one arm around my shoulder
He stood there looking at me remaining silent.
He went to say something and nothing came out. He walked out of the room leaving us all speechless.
