"This is tiring." I noticed that Lucien was staggering so I offered him a little bit of my magoi. We stopped by the nearest port before returning back to ourselves. We only had to take a boat towards the place and we'll be there.
"W-We shall take a break. What do you want, Lucien?" He looked at the bagel with raisins in them. I grinned before buying some for him while I got cinnamon for myself. We ate it and rented an inn. We traveled for two days straight so we really need a lot of rest.
"We should get some sleep. Night, Lucien."
"Have a good dream, Azami-sama."
Lucien's POV
Azami-sama had fallen asleep not too long. I couldn't sleep yet so I decided to star gazed. The night was calm but it was enough to let me think of what has happened after Ipos' dungeon was cleared. I followed this woman around and trusted her. Was it really the right thing to do? I was able to know her well for these two months and I could tell that she was not one to betray her kin.
'Azami-sama has a bright smile that could melt anyone's heart but she can also be cold when needed.'
'You're not yet used to her are you, Lucien?' I heard Sitri's voice. She was speaking through Ipos' vessel. I nodded and looked outside again. It was always like this anyway.
"Azami-sama really is special. I never really liked being with others but she didn't give up on me and continued to be my companion. I admire that about her. Was I really worth it?" I heard a laugh behind me and that was when I saw Azami-sama awake. It made me flustered that I was caught.
"Is that what you're worrying about, Lucien?" I bowed my head down in embarrassment. She raised her arms and said, "There's no need to worry. I love the way you are right now. Come over here." I was hesitant at first but finally gave in and hugged her. We fell asleep soon after.
The next day, it was time to continue our journey. We used our magic cloth to get to Artemyra. It was hidden within the cliffs and scaling those would be a waste of time. I noticed huge birds that passed by us and it was something that I thought I wouldn't see in my whole life. Those huge birds were tamed.
"Those birds are tamed by the people of Artemyra. The Queen is not really fond of me but I could ask for a pass for you. She's nice enough to do that." My eyes widened at her statement. So she has gone to this country. This place was amazing but I tried not to show any emotion. We landed soon and entered the palace. After greetings with the Queen, her rival and the others, we searched for Yunan.
"Oh! There they are! And he brought Morgiana with him! Let's go. I have to introduce you to her." We descended down the path and I was able to see the person who sent her the letter. I narrowed my eyes at him. He was too calm and carefree looking. Azami-sama smiled at them and hugged them both. I could see a blush on the man's face while other girl had a small smile. Her red hair and pink eyes caught me off guard though. A Fanalis?
"It's been a long time you two! How are you?" She asked them. This Yunan guy smiled at her and gave her a summary of his adventure.
"Morgiana here almost entered the deeper part of Dark Continent you know. It's dangerous and I don't think I'll be able to help her return to her human form."
"Eh? But I know you could do it. You're just lazy~" He blushed a little at her closeness but turned serious soon.
"I don't really have enough power to do so plus, I don't think it's right to go and give her a chance when the others didn't." She sighed then turned to the Fanalis.
"You've grown a lot, Morgiana. Hmm? Ah! You've grown your power huh? I'm glad that Yunan was able to teach you techniques. You've mastered your household vessel sooner than I thought you would. Speaking of household vessel, this is Lucien." She pointed at me which made me bow.
"I am Lucien. It's nice to meet you." My voice was cold and emotionless.
"No need to be so cold, Lucien." She sweat dropped. I just shrugged and looked away. Yunan led us to a wooden cabin where he served us tea. He talked to Azami-sama about the world's crisis and the impending war. He knew that the war rose when the Kou's emperor died. Azami-sama tensed and quickly asked who was the next emperor.
"Don't worry. It's not Kouen but... it's Gyokuen."
"No way." She had this horror stricken face and it worried me that she will start to stress herself out again. Yunan asked us to leave for awhile before he talk to her. I didn't want to leave that was why I stayed in my position.
"Lucien, right? Don't worry, I'll try not to stress her out." I was shocked with how he knew but I had to trust him. We left and they were alone inside.
Azami's POV
'This is bad. Gyokuen is the Empress of Kou which gave more power to Al Thamen! We should have seen it coming.' I gritted my teeth in frustration. Yunan sat down and gave me a reassuring smile. He held my hand and it comforted me a little.
"Azami, it might have given her the power to raise Al Thamen even more but the time's path is straight. The rukh will continue to guide us and all these will stretch back in time. We just need to assist them."
"But Yunan! Gyokuen was aiming for that room! If somebody enters that room and disturbs the flow of the rukh then we'll be doomed. Have you seen Sinbad yet? I don't know but I feel so uneasy with him." He looked at me seriously before giving me tea.
"I know what you mean. I fear him as well but we need to believe in the current wielders of djinn. Even you, Azami." I sighed and looked at my metal vessels.
"I need to warn you though. Beware of Gyokuen. I heard that she's interested about you. She will search for you and ask question about that room. Please be careful on your journey." He stood up and hugged me. I blushed at the contact. I rested my head on his shoulders for comfort.
"Thank you, Yunan."
He smiled and pecked my forehead. It made my face as red as a cherry. He chuckled and opened the door to let the two enter. Lucien stood behind me and offered his shoulder. I rested for a little bit before telling Yunan that we'll be leaving as soon as possible. We had some unfinished business after all.
"I see. Well then, we'll be talking to Queen Myra tomorrow."
"Give her my apologies and thanks. Oh! Morgiana? Give this to Aladdin and Alibaba when you them okay?" She gave her a small bottle with sparkling blue liquid in it.
"It'll help in the future. See you two! Let's go, Lucien?"
"Yes."We flew upwards and exited the area. Azami-sama gave them a final wave before speeding up.
"Thank you for comforting me."
"It was nothing."
With that, we made our way towards Magnostadt. We didn't hurry this time considering that Yunan warned Azami-sama about something but I knew that she will not just leave something without doing anything.
Unknown POV
'Hmm? Azami eh? I wonder if she's the same one from that place. And that stupid kid, Setta! I'll have to eliminate them if possible.'
That person walked out of the balcony and was greeted with thousands of men in white robes.
"Welcome back, Our Queen. All Hail Our Queen, All Hail our Father!" They chanted that for a long period of time.
"Al Thamen shall rise and bring forth Father!"
